8 bit Theater: An RP Signups

Yeah, I just made one.

First of all, this is not following existing characters in the comic. This is OC characters in the setting. However, you CAN use them in your backstory or mention them in the RP. In fact, they'll get mentioned a lot.

Character Signups must include:

Name: Name of your character. Self explanatory.

Gender: Again, self explanatory.

Age: I will not accept characters that are younger than 15 years old.

Race: The options here are Human, Elf, Half-Elf, Dwarf, Half-Dwarf, and Moogle.

Class: While this is not a stat based RPG, I will require you to give your characters a class to properly describe their abilities.

At the start of the RP, you must choose an unpromoted class from FF, like Black Mage, Fighter, etc. Note that many classes can eventually have the option to pick between two or three classes to change into (ie. Fighter can become a Dark Knight, a Knight, or a Paladin). For now don't worry about it.

Your options for now are: Fighter, Red Mage, Thief, Black Belt, White Mage, Black Mage, Geomancer, Archer, Viking, Dragoon and Scholar.

Powers: Describe your abilities here, based on your class. With Fighters, Archers, Dragoons, Black Belts and Vikings, your powers are based on your specialty weapons. Casters like Red Mage, White Mage, Black Mage and Scholar should describe what level of spells they know, how many they have, and how many times they can use those levels of spells. Note that Red Mages can learn up to mid level black and white magic while Scholars can learn only low level magic from both categories. Geomancers can cast an unlimited amount of spells but only on the terrain they're standing on. Thieves should describe what they can steal.

Remember, if a character has OP'd abilities I will suggest you change them into something more manageable.

Likes: What your character likes.

Dislikes: What your character dislikes.

Backstory: Self explanatory.

Appearance: Describe what your character looks like.


Keep in mind that if your sign up has poor literacy, I will probably reject it. OP sign-ups I will suggest fixes.

Backstory: Maid Fightsalott's first words were "Welcome home, Master." However, her parents couldn't afford Maid College, so they sent her to the next best thing: Fighter's Camp. Now, she travels the world, spear on her back, maid outfit spotless, searching for someone she can call "Master."

The red stuff there is supposed to be rainbow colored, by-the-by. And those are cat ears on her headdress. I decided I'd ignore the dice in the name of good less-than-incredibly-bad taste and make the apron and headdress white. We'll just say her stockings are rainbow-colored.

The ears stay.

Likes: Talking. Hearing himself talk. When he's not talking he's reading.
Dislikes: Ignorace and or people who interrupt him on a consistent basis. What he says is important kupo! (To no one but him)
Backstory: Ram reads and talks and talks and reads. He was eventually sent out on an adventure because he was told the village needed information on a rare piece of information (that doesn't actually exist). In reality no one could stand his never ending chatter.

Appearance: He appears like most moogles except rather energetic and with a monocle. He wears a brown travelling robe with pockets large enough to hold his spellbook. Given his size that's about all it can hold.

Backstory: Monk had spent most of his life being taught by the monastery how to fight and never once in his life had ever found a good reason to do so. Looking back on his barren and nonviolent existence he began to feel bitter and started punching things for no good reason. And it felt good. He soon found there were many people who deserved a punch, but just hadn't come around his way, and so he sook to leave behind the boredom of normal monkitude and start delivering the beatdowns to the proud who deserve it.

Appearance: Tall, bald, black belt gi, rather large beard-pure white, big gray eyes, and large scarred fists.

Name: Sexy Goodheals Jailbaitersen
Gender: Slutty
Age: 17...so close yet so far away
Race: Half-Elf
Class: White Mage

- Level 1 [3 Charges]: Cure (low heal), Harm (low damage to undead group), Ruse (increase target's evasion)
Likes: Beating men up (preferably with her whip), adventuring, baked potatoes with lotsa butter and sour cream, and apparently dressing like a slut.
Dislikes: Guys flirting with her, waiting patiently, her parents, vegetables, and young children and infants.
Backstory: Sexy Goodheals Jailbaitersen was born from her large and superbly muscled human mother complete with hulking battleaxe (Killyu Berserkerstein Jailbaitersen) and her passive and submissive elven father who does 95% of all work and chores around the house (Wimpy Masochisto Jailbaitersen) in a remote mountain near a quiet little town called Logger's Haven. To this day, Sexy swears she was switched at birth. Unable to deal with the perpetual boredom of the village and mountains, Killyu's overbearing mothering, and Wimpy's relaxed outlook on life, Sexy ventures outward into the world, mostly to just find something to do. Her doting father was (silently) against the idea, but her mother was adament about this being an excellent choice and, presenting Sexy with the leather whip she used to literally snag her husband, Sexy is bid well on her random journey. Now all that remains is one question: what in the hell is there to do anywhere else? With whip and white magic, Sexy is determined to eke out a life for herself that doesn't involve looking at the weather, homeschooling, and gardening.
Appearance: Sexy stands at about five feet with startling red hair in two waist length ponytails and piercing green eyes. She wears a black cotton shirt with a tanned leather vest, green denim hot pants, and tanned leather boots. The whole getup accentuates her delicious curves and long, silky smooth legs, which leaves any number of men who see her with visions that could put them behind bars for a good, long time.

Hey again, De_Geo, I gots some questions for when you come back. Do you have an idea in mind for why or how we're all gonna be stuck together? And is this going to take place before, during, or after the events of 8-bit Theater?

Yeah I have an idea of how to get the group together. King Steve hires people as his lackeys and claims that the Light Warriors upset the balance of Light and Darkness and calls for Dark Warriors. Garland's guys can't answer the call because they claimed to defeat Chaos and thus were the real light warriors according to King Steve.

Yeah, it's dumb but it's the best I can come up with so far.

I'll post more here from now on. I might not make a PC and just play all the NPCs.
