Neat Movie, Interesting Concept... Woulda Been Better Had It Not Been M. Night
Like... maybe Guillermo Del Toro or something.
Okay, so finally got 'round to seeing Lady In The Water which I think is pretty neat. Interesting story - everything is spelled out a lot of the time, but to be fair, it is written by M. Night Shamwow. If you haven't seen it, here's what you should know: N. Day plays a writer whose one book about his beliefs and opinions is going to change the world, even making this kid who reads it and adopts its values become "the leader of the country." And then there's this mean old nasty film critic who is devoured alive by an evil grass wolf. In the hands of someone else, it coulda been great. Last edited by Seil; 03-14-2011 at 01:26 AM. |

Really what made me happy about Lady in the Water was that there was actually a monster and it was honestly cool.
All in all it was an okay movie and even though I'm kinda glossing over the parts that didn't involve a crazy monster grass-wolf that ate people, I'd still say those parts were decent too. |
