Arrogance, talent, and hard work are all integrally related to Rarity. Rarity encompasses the artist, and she actually does it well. As has been said, the secret to being a good writer is the opposite of being a good person: you have to believe that you have something of unparalleled importance to say, and you must not stop saying it until everyone listens.

Or like Sondheim's Putting it Together which The Art of the Dress is based on: having just the vision's no solution, everything depends on execution.

I mean, like, totally watch me sperg out, but that's just a sample of the amount of care put into Rarity alone.

Seriously all's I'm sayin' is, we know who sings the best songs, and her name starts with P.

In terms of music (i.e. singing in tune and not hurting my ears) Rarity has the best songs.

In terms of lyrics Pinkie Pie has the best songs.

That said I haven't exactly found myself youtubing Art of the Dress recently.

(although we all know that Fluttershy sings the best songs, regardless of who wrote them)

Pinkie Pie shows her inherent superiority in all things musical through her reliance on minimal orchestral instruments to artificially augment her stellar voice. Rarity and the other ponies require full symphonies to mask the humdrum boring nature of their lyrics and their plain vocal inferiority. Pinkie, by contrast, performs directly from the heart, and her lyrical wizardry results with catchy tunes that will stay with you far longer, and then at one point you'll catch yourself silently humming her melodies while preparing questions to a Supreme Court Justice.

Also Pinkie is so adorable.
