I'm going to stand by my position that the music could be a bit more in tune but for a children's cartoon wherein the character are being voice-acted by people I presume aren't vocalists, it's not that bad. e: I just remembered that it turns out they actually have different voice actors for singing.

Evil Enchantress is still amazingly bad though. (It adds to the effect of the song, to me.)

That's true in every case but Fluttershy's. Fluttershy and Pinkie Pie have the same VA, but that VA sings only Fluttershy's part, which is why her segments in songs tend to be short. (For example, in "Winter Wrap-Up" Rainbow Dash sings an entire segment for "Weather Team" and Applejack sings an entire segment for "Planting Team," but Fluttershy splits her "Animal Team" segment among multiple other ponies as singers.)

Generally, all this is done because talented voice actors usually have a lot of parts to read for a lot of characters, and singing is the single activity that takes the most out of a voice. (As for why no singer could replicate Fluttershy's voice, I have no idea.) But, for example, Pinkie Pie sings so damn much that another VA to handle the singing was an absolute necessity.

Admittingly, when I say Evil Enchantress is awesome I'm doing so in appreciation of its comedic value and the catchiness of the tune, as opposed to actually praising its musical merits.
