I'm hoping that the second season doesn't suffer because of this.

EDIT: Reading around on other forums, I stumbled onto this statement. It's apparently from one of the people working on the show:

I've known about this for a while now, was wondering when the news would finally break. Now before people go all gloom and doom, I'd like to point out that she is still doing a lot of what she did in season 1. She's still heavily involved in the pre-production of season 2 (story and scripts), she'll just be less involved in the post-production. This really won't have any impact on the production.

So I'm much less worried now. Still hoping for the best, but my fears of Hasbro going into Super Meddling mode are mostly gone. Only mostly, mind you, this is Hasbro we're talking about.

It looks like she'll still be involved with the scripts, so that shouldn't suffer much if at all..

It's definitely worrying to hear, but considering she's still very much involved and the same team is still working on the show, I've got my fingers crossed that there won't be too much suffering as a result.

On a lighter note, the next season really does sound pretty promising. Derpy becoming a legit character? Now that's something I think a lot of us can get behind.

This just in: Faust is pregnant, too. This fact is not in direct relation to her deciding to cool off with the show, in fact she hoped to spread out the news in order to keep that assumption from happening.

I finally got around to watching the season finale, and that really does confirm how much I like the series. Although I can't really add anything that hasn't been said already...
