As Aldurin recently found out, there's a way to make embedded videos play automatically. Please don't do that outside of a specific thread, thanks.
This includes any cases where it'd be totally funny, where this song would fit this thread so well, or where you just had to try it after reading Meister's post not to do it. e: apparently that was fifth but still |

If you make videos play automatically I think we will have to intervene from an administrative standpoint vis-a-vis timeouts.

Yes, I agree. I've been tinkering with Firefox to get it to stop autoplaying to no avail, so I don't know what music I'm going to be assaulted with when I click on a thread. Don't really care for how humorous it is, I don't need to hear Rebecca Black, thanks. The autoplay instantly decreases how humorous it is.

Can you just disable the autoplay?
I can't think of when it'd be useful. Like, I can only think of abusive reasons for it to exist.
