Music. I like some. Also relevant: Somebody That I Used To Know
So.
Kimbra Walk off the Earth Gotye I was introduced to all three recently by that one video... you know, of that one song. (or, if you prefer, the mashup!) (also, Little Boxes! Why is it addicting?!) And now I can't stop listening to them. I'm, like, almost obsessed. Sheesh. Thanks, Internet. As if I didn't have enough to take up all my time. (So, have you guys ever heard of 'em?)

As an Australian, our radio and TV got swamped by this guy when he released that song a year or so ago. Basically you'd have to be deaf not to have heard him.

I love these music threads, but they always die so quickly.

I like the radio because it's just less hassle than fussing with my phone or iPod or whatever, and I know that things get overplayed but DAMN 'Somebody That I Used To Know' is just super annoying to me now. It's even worse than 'Pumped Up Kicks'.
Kimbra is pretty alright, I need to check out more of her stuff.

Also, pop song of the summer/year is Call Me Maybe. Like, it is known. I like to imagine that the guy who came up with adding those fake syncopated strings was invited to the top floor of BigMusicCo where the CEO was waiting to put a bullet in his head to ensure that no one else would be able to use his genius.

Confidential to Weird Al: Listen to this song.
And then change all of the lyrics to be about internet memes. Send me 40% of all profits as a creator's fee.

I'm sorry Train... I know you've always had slightly odd lyrics and that's kind of your 'thing', but "Just a shy guy looking for a two-ply Hefty bag to hold my love" may be the worst line I've ever heard in a song.
