So, a lot of shit has been happening lately Yamamoto's bankai, Kenpachi getting owned, Yamamoto being more badass than Kenpachi... so yeah. Thoughts?

Captain Old is gonna lose his bankai. How can a (presumably human) Quincy be thousands of years old? Will Kubo do a horror comic next, because his skulls are really great?

It was pretty clear near the end when the Quincy Commander drew his sword what was going on. Though it was also fairly obvious when he said it had been a century since he'd seen the Captain Commander.

Of course there is something definitely different in how he drew that sword. Perhaps we're looking at another combination Soul Reaper/Fullbring user which would explain his interest in keeping Ichigo out of things.

Well... it's a bit of GT Syndrome.

I mean, in Dragonball Z... we had freezer, who was the most powerful being in the whole unniverse. Known as a powerful conqueror across the galaxy and even in other dimensions.

Then, we had Cell... who was around 25x more powerful. But Cell was a secret and never seen before, and man-made, so he is "stronger than any enemy before" without breaking lore.

Then we have Majin Buu... and although he was trapped and all, people still knew about him. And he was stronger than everything... and also every lackey that came with him was way more powerful than Freezar, which breaks lore... Kinda.

And then we have GT, where we go "fuck it!" ...

So, could Kenpachi handle Aizen? Cause Aizen managed to handle Yamamoto. Even if it was more on cunning than just power levels... Kenpachi and Aizen were kept apart to prevent this problem. But now we have this guy who can easily deals with Kenpachi and whom Yamamoto feels the need to deal in brute force.

So, depending on the explanation given in the coming episodes... it can work, we have a parallel on the power levels to show why is this guy different from the last few ones (just so it's not completely out of nowhere), and now it's just a matter of explaining why nobody heard of him before...

My theory is that, the new villain is the same as Ichigo. Son of Yamamoto and a human. Who became Soul Reaper / Quincy hybrid.

You mean when Aizen specially made an Espada to fight Yamamoto which Yamamoto killed by punching it really hard - sure, he lost an arm in the process but it's because he got hit with his own attack.

Yamamoto kind of is centuries older than everyone else and he never says shit so it's totally expected he didn't tell anyone about these guys.
