I honestly really want to see Uryu's take on all this. Yea he thinks soul reapers are dicks, but he also believes (or to be more exact his grandfather thought) the quincies were short sighted stubborn fools that needed to be wiped out.

Also in my opinion this kind of explains why they leave fireworks lady alone. They'd be kind of boned otherwise

A few people here and there speculate "their uncle might be Isshin". Which wouldn't be too big a thing to believe seeing as Isshin's from SS.

I wonder if there are just, like, regular souls up in those floating cities. Just normal dudes who get a special despot all their own. Or are the Zero Division kings and queens of empty cities?

I am actually looking forward to seeing him. It looks like The Spirit King will be humanoid but distinctly alien. Atleast I hope, Kubo hasn't challenged himself much with character designs in awhile.
