MGLN StrikerS Interest Test

So, me and Shy finally got back to talking and she mentioned doing this test thread for the Nanoha series showing to continue.

Is anyone at all interested in seeing the third season of Mahou Shoujo Lyrical Nanoha? Series name "StrikerS" with it's 26 episodes? It's a Fansub as this never came stateside for some f-ed reason.

Anyways, if you want I can give a synopsis of the series thanks to ANN.

Set 10 years after the events in Lyrical Nanoha A's, now three Rank S mages, Nanoha, Fate and Hayate are working for the Time-Space Administration Bureau. Following Hayate's dream to make her own division that helps into all kind of disasters, including the Lost Logia cases, Fate and Nanoha including their own trainees, create Riot Force 6. Unfortunately not all can go as planned, because uncontrolled Lost Logia will get in the way of Riot Force 6 and is up to Nanoha, Fate and Hayate to deal with them while training their new trainees and helping with other tasks that arise along the way.

As said, it is 26 episodes long but I think it is a fairly good show.

So, any takers or has the Nanoha-rama run it's course?

StrikerS is not terrible despite its makers apparently not realising what made A's so great, but it's definitely the weakest of the three seasons.

I mean it's twice as long as the other seasons but has terrible pacing, puts Yuuno, Arf, Hayate and most of the Wolkenritter on the sideline (I don't think Zafira even speaks), throws in a whole bunch of rookies instead and for much of it you get to see people blow up giant pills and the occaisonal sphere or wedge instead of the far more cinematic battles from previous seasons.

You have a lot of strong points to bring up. StrikerS itself was a bit of a Base Breaker (Not nearly as bad as FORCE or VIVID) but it is important to see it to see what was evolving and happening in the franchise at this time.

I myself can overlook the flaws and find the good in this story. The pacing was quite alright for me as it allowed me to know these new characters. The story was rather good if not as strong as the other two, but still good enough to keep my interest. The sidelining of some of the major characters was a bit of an issue for me. But I can overlook this as the story was mainly focused on the new Rookies under Nanoha's guidance.

Now if you want to gripe about the flaws, than come to the showing when we do it.
