Supreme Court dismisses Pledge of Allegiance case
Today, the Supreme Court voted 8-0 to dismiss Newsom's case against the phrase "under God" (thereby overturning the prior decision to remove the phrase) on the grounds that, currently being in a custody dispute with his daughter's mother, he does not have legal standing to speak for her. This outcome had been predicted by some as an easy out for the court to take by dismissing the case on a technicality rather than deciding on the issue.

That's a bunch of BS. Now it's just going to get challenged again and take another few years to go back to the Supreme Court, all the while getting it EVEN MORE press coverage. Gah.
