side note: I didn't know anything about those spirits........does Gwaethir have the Spirit of Air on his side? Heck, I thought he was just destroying entire cities under his own power....

Interesting tricks? You mean stuff that is plausable but aren't obvious? I can seeing blinding attacks and illusions (bent light) for Garis and fear effects and invisibility for Falis (are you scared of the dark?). So you know, neither of Falis's parents passed powers down to him, he was born with them inate (think D&D sorceror or psion). His father thought his son was a freak and tried to kill him. Obviously, it didn't work and his father was cast into supernatural darkness, hence the Shadow element. I figured an obscure reason for Falis's power would be needed since there already was an Evil Shadow.

I see LASERS for Garis, actually *evil grin* and healing magic, and purifying, and burning things.....the possibilities are endless!
Faris can probably do stuff similar to what Talos could do. Stuff like possessing people (until Delmenon used Purging Flames to hurt him and force him out), becoming invisible, teleporting.... let's put it this way: Gwaethir flies, can tear people apart using intensified wind, can harden air into blades inside someone's lungs, can remove air from an area around a victim (if he's feeling cruel), can speed the motion of molecules in the air to produce heat, can slow down the molecules in the air to produce cold. You can have a LOT of powers, no matter what element you pick!

Oh. I see Falis blocking light energy from getting into people, blinding and freezing them simulataneously. As for Garis, I'm thinking something akin to Gwaethir's razor wind, but light instead. On a less violent note, there's clairvoyance.

Gwaethir's attack is a bit more badass than that, even though the Heroes have been able to beat it so far. He hardens the air into big blades and cuts people with them...not just a bunch of little razors.
By the way....I should have clarified this earlier, Gwaethir isn't possessed by the Spirit of Air (which became inherently evil at some point in the past), but it has been convincing him to oppress his people, and kill innocents, since he slew the Avariel king and his court. trust me, though, a huge laser would be an awesome attack! Especially since Delmenon has recently gained a super-high-temperature energy-beam-type attack! Basically a really intense heat ray........and he knows Pyroclasm...

Cao Zhen, however, continues to follow the road, as grass is too green for his liking this time of year. You ain't got no K-Mart! |

No HoP we didn't, but you didn't post for a while so he kind of got lost in the sands of time if you get my drift. Most of my posts which had to do with bringing the rest of the group up to Gwaethir's city were just that: "The rest of the group."
So it is implied that you are with Jack, Scott and Cho'gond & Cho'gore fighting your way to the citadel. (Where me, DB and Jaguar are now) Edit: and Muktar, your chars look excellent. We'll find some way of inserting them into the story. DB, I didn't forget, but I didn't want to put every little detail in there because I once again had work in a couple hours. NOT TODAY BIATCH! I got the whole fugging day off!

yeah.........by the way, before you try and kill Gwaethir and take his powert, I'll give you a tip. He's the king now, the elemental can't turn against him (though you made it try, and it was a valiant effort, too!), and you can't steal his power. You notice how he keeps toying with you, seeming to be using only a fraction of his true power? He's got the Spirit of Air appearing in his mind as Xaetharra, and convincing him that the heroes want to overthrow his kingdom so they can bring back a king as corrupt as the old one. He believes you are mages that want to bring his city crashing to the ground, so the people of the "crawling races" can enslave his people and loot his city.
He was once a nice guy, so if you stop attacking him, and convince him to see the truth....then he'll try and turn the Spirit of Air away from evil. Basically, the Spirits are originally neutral, but when defeated in mental combat their alignment becomes the same as that of the person who defeated them. At some point in the past, the Spirit of Air was controlled by an evil person, so she became evil.........if Gwaethir reverts to being good, if you convince him he was wrong without constantly attacking, then he'll help you. You get what you came for, and Gwaethir will start ruling his people differently....
