I'm having a problem with steam. I used my CD key to register on a differant e-mail (I made the e-mail up) and now I can't register my CD key to my proper e-mail. I don't remember any details about the old e-mail, the acount name or it's password. All I want is a game of TS.

Uh, why would I pay $20+ shipping and waiting period when I got it at the local Wal-Mart for $14? Everything in there is freeware besides the actual Half-Life CD.

Why is everyone so sarcastic on these boards?

Yeah... you can get that fixed, but it is a hassle. Run Steam and go through all the registration nonsense, let it tell you that your CD key is already registered. Then there is a list of help options. Most of them will tell you to send the clipping or CD case with your CD key on it to them, and they will reset it. I think there is also a way to photograph your receipt, box, and serial number, and send jpegs to them by e-mail, and they will reset it. Browse the options on Steam, they will tell you what you can do about it.

Windrift: WRONG. That has Half-Life, Opposing Force, and Blue Shift, all of which is not freeware. It includes Counter-Strike and several other mods that are freeware and you just told me the Plat pack costs $50 everywhere you looked. You then confirmed you had checked Amazon and Newegg and it was the same. Which it wasn't on Newegg.

Hey Kefka, why don't you stop freaking out, and read what I wrote. If you spent less time trying so hard to win some imaginary debate that you're having with yourself, you'd realize I said on Amazon I looked for the original Half-Life, NOT the platinum pack, which is FOURTEEN DOLLARS, SAME AS WAL-MART. The $49.99 platinum pack was IN STORES, NOT ONLINE. Got it now? Great.

Dude, I think you're the one who needs to calm down. I'm not freaking out, and I tend not to on the boards. Funny how you can judge emotion through text. Although, honestly, you didn't make yourself very clear at all about which you were talking about. Like you just pointed out, those were three seperate phrases from three different areas on a post.

My point, anyways, is that you can get the Half-Life Platinum pack with HL and both its expansions plus all the added mods (only need to d/l a couple updates) for only 20 bucks plus s&h (which if I remember correctly, is extremely cheap from Newegg if you choose the lowest option and are willing to wait a couple days). It costs $25 on Amazon, I think, but there you can get it for free shipping and handling also.

There's nothing I can do to sort my problem, so I'll proberly buy a new HL tomorrow, which is £10 (about $18-19), I don't need to buy the generations pack as I already have it.
