Jesus, I leave home for a few minutes, and look what happens. Everyone's bashing everyone else.
Anyway, I liked Kingdom Hearts. The fidgety camera and the totally uninteresting fighting capabilities seen only otherwise in Secret of Mana/evemore or Seiken Dentsetsu 3 were one-upped when you get cool shit like Dodge Roll, Block, and the combos. In other words, it started out slow, but after you beat like three worlds it gets ALOT more interesting. And Tarzan and Jack Skellington are badasses in battle.

The battle system was fair to okay, but the level design was most sub-par and a lot of the levels were downright dull. In games with good level design, it's a blast to hunt down all the hidden stuff. In this game it's a chore. That's the main beef I have with the gameplay.

This game never ceases to amaze me. Leave it to Squaresoft to make a Disney game EFFING COOL. That's no easy feat mind you, but with the help of godly graphics, an awesome story and hundreds of nostalgiac references/secrets/goodies, it easily ranks as one of my favouritest games ever...
I'm trying to beat Extreme mode. However, a certain classic Disney villain-boss who appears as the last boss before the last boss, whose name I won't reveal so as not to spoil the surprise to those who haven't played it yet, cleaned my clock quite a few times... |

Another kingdom hearts thread? Why? We've had this discussion before. Several times before, in fact.

It was an ok game, the more I played it the more I liked the GAMEPLAY. I think the if the game was all disney, but produces by Square it would have been great, but they had to put in Final Fantasy characters and that ticked me off. That upset me because it seemed to degrade the characters that i've grown to love. Like I said, if it weren't for the square characters being in a disney game... it would have been fine.

I played the first half hour. It looked boring, then Donald zapped Goofy with Bolt-1, and I laughed. Then I left.

This game is soooooo good it hurts. It is better than FF8, FFX, and FF X-2. I mean people you liked cartoons when you were little you like them still now, stop hiding your inner-child! You like this game is you like action rpgs!

I love the game! Sure, it seems like half the worlds at the end were kind of thrown together, but the gameplay is still fun. I personally didn't like having many of the non-Donald and Goofy people in my party. The only ones I liked were Peter Pan and The Beast. Jack Skellington was ok at best, and the rest I never wanted to use after trying them. I thought some of the easiest battles were in the Colleseum. They should have made it harder. Sephiroth was the only real challenge in it.
