I remember when my cousin had his wedding reception, he had one of those cool fountain things that dispensed cider instead of water. That'd be pretty cool to have.

Other than that, congradulations Rai and shiney!

If I meant displayed? Disposed and displayed aren't mutually exclusive, I think... but anyway I just wanted to specifiy "not all over the place", but in a planned way.

Also, did I apologize yet for my lack of care in tone? If not I do now

Edit: and congratulations, too

Edit 2: Wordweb doesn't list the verb "disposed" as having the meaning I used it in, in the english language. Whoops, I guess displayed works much better considering what I wrote made no sense!

Just go with the standard white dress with an uber long train. I'm a guy, so I'm not about to tell you what to do with your hair though. I say have a big chocolate cake! Because everyone loves chocolate, and if it's big, you can keep it in the freezer and munch on it way after the wedding is over. You can always get the whites and pastels on it as frosting.

For entertainment, I know someone that would sing and play guitar for free if he just had a way there...

Cheshire: If we could afford to bring you over, we would. But alas, we're struggling enough for money as it stands.

And Cloud, any help would do. Even the congratulations is enough. =)

No suggestions, just congratulations.

Well, I do have a clothing bag that is often referred to as a "Body Bag" so....

Though I can't help much in most other departments, I remember when I was at a friend of my father's weadding, they didn't have a cake per se, but one made out of flowers, and in it's place they had all sorts of desserts, and when it came time to cut the cake, they cut a pie instead.

Hah! I'd never ask the two of you to pay my way! I was just hinting that if I came up with the money on my own in time, that an invite would be appreciated and merriment would ensue.

Default Me have ideas.

I would pay his way there if I could get money across the ocean!

Many congrats to the two of you, and I can see you'll need some more advice from a girl. ;;;;

First of all, the dress in winter has got to be white (even though at my own wedding I'm steering well clear of the lack of color). A long trail is also speccy, especially if there are any little ones to carry the end of it and sprinkle flower petals.

On flower petals, heavens above don't use pink! Try light yellows, those work well with wintery times and settings. You'll want many ribbons to accompany flowers if you use either for your decorations.

Bridesmaides should not stand out more than the bride, but I suggest a very very small tad of color to their dresses, perhaps some pale blue or yellow lace, or the over all dress, but have them not stark white.

For your hair, wear what is comfortable; ie, if you like it down, have it styled in a down formation. If you tied it up a lot, have it put up and styled. And it's never a bad idea to try satiny ribbons here too!

When choosing a cake, ask what it tastes like first over looks, and don't settle for "oh it's lovely!" and believe it on the spot. People these days will say anything to sell something, and wedding cakes are pretty expensive as we all know. At up to 4 digits of $ a pop, you want it to taste good, and I've tastes some foul chocolate cakes. If you can, ask to try a sample of the cake mix or a already cooked cake, and decide from there. If you like white chocolate, I know that white chocolate cakes are popular in snowy settings, and the white icing and creams are easier to clean on the spot and not get embarrased about than squishy brown chocolate, expecially if someone get's it on their light colored clothes.

On cake appearence, think about how many people are invited, and cater to that. It's always worth having extra desserts, but a huge cake that can get everyone a piece is good too. TASTE the icing before you buy if you can! It may be pretty but if it's like plastic on the day everyone will be peeling it off. Anyways, be sure the cake people can make large cakes that won't fal lover too easily if very tall. Wide cakes are better in this circumstance.

And that's all I can think of for now. I hope this helped in the choices

Hope your wedding is grand and your lives are filed with happiness!
