I suggest you guys do whatever you want. Shop around for dresses, suits, cakes, DJs (although I'd get a live band if given the choice), and food. Try out everything. I'm pretty sure they don't charge for samples, so you could make entire meals just trying stuff out >_<. Choose whatever makes you happy, and makes your day complete.

As far as the bride's shoes go: Wear sneakers. Why? Because under the right dress, no one will be able to know if you're wearing sneakers, glass slippers, or cement bricks.

Except that in the way we're having it done, she'll be sitting down during part of the ceremony. So actually yes they probably would. :B

Hey i have been to a few weddings, participated in 1 and ive seen all kinds. First i for one like the night, hence my name, but If you live near any beaches you could do that there. As for the cake, usually a large cake and you save a hunk of it, as a momento. Well, the cake should be able to feed how ever many people are coming with extra. I hope you already have a Wedding dress... If not hurry up also try to cordinate with your best. If the beach doesn't workout you could get married in your religous structure or even at a lake during the sun set. Just remember your lines, and dont ditch the finace at the alter(they hate that). Good Luck, me n my friends will pray for you :bmage: :fighter: :wmage: :rmage:

My idea of a great wedding
I havn't read all the pages but I think the best cakes are multi layered but no matter what flavor it is you can get just about any decoration or appearance you want on the frosting and most cake makers know how to suport it no matter how soft or airy the cake is.
As for flowers and arangments I suggest that you get some flowers that no one is alergic to and arrange them with a sprig of pine and a few lace ruffs in the bride and grooms favorite colors. For the wedding dress have a white base but include veils and lace also in the couples favorite colors. for the best man and brides maids instead of matching colors let them have a selection of colors that compliment the couples choices. Weather or not you wish to have Alcahol I reccomend that none of it is arround till the reception. There are some people who also have the musical act at the wedding as well as the reception there are times when it can become redundant so make sure they have a wide repitour should you want them at both. it helps to have a china pattern that is being rented along with catering if you wish to have a meal time reception so that everything has a bit of uniformity. Doesn't hurt to get at least one set of everything special to keep personally either. Last but not least don't bother with the top of the cake tradition I have seen so many marriages hit hard times as soon as they had their aniversery cake.

Won't you believe it?

First off, lemme just say congratualtions! In these dark and depressing times of war and hate, its wonderful to see such a young couple who love each other join in this blessed and holy union. (lol im not as old as i sound) however, i cant give much advice, as my biggest financial problem is how im gonna pay for my Harley. (oh yeah, harleys tear ass, and you know it.) however, i do like that open bar idea...but it could cause some problems.

Thanks for your help, guys. Plans are still in progress. I'm going dress shopping with my mother tomorrow and booking the venue when I go also. So that should be fun! Oh, just so you people can see, this is what the invite is going to look like: Cute, huh? =3

I buy artwork on Gaiaonline. A friend of mine there gave me a good rate and made that of our two characters, which are basically representations of ourselves.
