Thoughts about 486 to a previous comic
Well, I didn't want to post this on the 486 thread since posts about comic 434 tend to derail all topics.
But here's my random thought: We've seen that BM can actually be kind, and serious. That he is not all evil and stupid. The vaguity(sp? is-it-a-word check?) of comic 434 is that we haven't actually seen any of the characters be serious except for WM. What I thought was that, what would happened if the hidden BM, the one that wants to be kind, becomes twisted? Wouldn't he in turn be more "evil" (for a lack of a better word) than the BM we see now? Perhaps what we see in 434 is that the suppresed side of BM came out, but had become corrupted by some event. |

I was wondering the same thing about that comic...is that a foreshadowing of something?
Im starting to think maybe it is Black Mage and White mage talking or something like that. Like before a climactic battle. Damn, 8 Bit really has expanded beyond a mere parody. Its got its own deep storyline with 4-d character personalities and everything. This is much better than any other "parody" i have ever seen...it is something more now. ///

You're not funny. Also you spelled schizophrenia wrong.
It's possible, Grahf. You make an interesting point there. I think it's neat how Brian has made such a simple story and characters so complex and manages to draw in people time and again into speculation. I think that proves he's a good author.

To all the people in the thread speculating about the contents of the note, what with my analysis of Black Mage and the unlikelyhood of being nice, I have only this to say:
D'OH! Guess I was wrong about that, although I DID say that Brian was incredibly good at throwing curveballs. And I agree that there is such a climactic theme being put to this. Something more plotted than mere comedy. Lest we forget that BM is actually a Chaos-worshipping fellow himself. If you push him off the deep end...the dark lord of the land might find a robed figure standing before him, saying... "There is nothing left for me in the world... Let me join your side so I can see it all destroyed..."
