Note that shiney also mentioned that if you kill enough, you get the limit breaks in the next level, skipping over the 2nd one in a level if you do it fast enough. I do it with Cloud all the time.

Because to learn the second limit break you need to use your limit a certain number of times, or something.

When I was in Midgard and training Cloud, it took me 72 blade beams to get Climhazzard!!!!!

Way tooo many!!

For the second limit break in each level, you must use the first one of that level a certain amount of times.

For the first limit break in the next level, the character must deliver the killing blow a certain amount of times. Doesn't really matter how fast you do it either. The kill count is kept no matter how long between kills you go.

EDIT: Err, yeah. Sometimes you have to use them ALOT before advancing to the next one. And I believe you have to learn all of the previous ones before you can learn their level 4 limit break.

For your edit, MoM, that's correct. You do have to have all of the other limits, level 1 through 3, before any of the characters can learn the limit break.

It's kinda neat really, you get rewarded for kicking ass, and you get rewarded for getting your ass kicked.

Ooooh. I'd like to mention there was a site in dedication to the ressurection of Aeris. It made for a good read, but it was too long and confusing to actually attempt the 'method' myself.

If I find the website again (it had screenshots and the like too) I'll post it. But here's a link to some apparent ways to ressurect Aeris, each of which has been proven false:

Wow. That really dowes look promising, RaiRai. I'd try it, but I don't have FF VII anymore.... ;_; Maybe my friend will let me borrow it... he still has it I think....(heck, he still has the original super metriod, he should have this.)

MoM you mean FF VII? Well its usually the longest ones that are the hardest and least promising.

There IS a way to bring Aeris back, but not without the use of a Gameshark. You can also unlock Sephiroth in this manner if I'm not greatly mistaken. That said, I think it causes problems when those characters reach character specific lines...
