Raw force and power,
right beneath your feet,
Breathes in the rythm,
and emenates its beat,
Beating, beating,
always breathing,
A force of power,
protection, love,
A force of guidance,
grace of a dove
within, calling, enthralling,
Prevent us from falling...
The beat, the rythm,
the power, the grace,
silently moving,
beneath our feet,
bringing out rythm...
move to its beat.

(Note: The name Jake fit in well with the poem, so if your name's Jake, please don't be offended, this poem's not about you.)

"A Rather Long Poem about me and a guy named Jake Part I"

Here's a story about me and a guy named Jake
who murdered everyone he raped
He hid pretty well in his Chevy car
but when he tried to drive, he didn't get too far
He finds out that his car is out of gas
he tried to run but didn't go that fast
He's about to give up but then he sees
Me coming out of my house with car keys
He shoots me in the leg and steals my wheels
I tried to see him but his face was concealed
I limped back to my house and got a gun
Sarcastically I thought "This is gonna be fun."
I left the house with the porch light shining bright
Something big is about to happen tonight
I limped over to an auto sale
went to a car that was sleek and pale
I shelled out a check for 25 grand for the ride
Drove off after the guy who's trying to hide
I wrapped a thin towel around the bullet wound
hoping to find this Jake guy pretty soon
On the way I drove by a bar
when there in the parking lot I saw my car
I parked and limped over to the front door
I went in and saw Jake drinking Coors
He looked over, saw me and ditched
I said to myself "Son of a bitch."
Before he left he shot me in the arm on the spot
then he ran over to the pale car near the lot
My arm bled bad but I needed to move on
I went outside to find he's already gone
He left the car he stole before
I went back in the bar, got the keys and closed the door
I turned the car on and went after Jake
By messing with me, he made a mistake.

(And that's only Part I. Heh.)

Doubts

To guard my master
Such is a samurai's task
I will do my best

But my heart controls me
Has it become my new lord?
Must I guard her now?

I never knew love
Now it decides my actions
It confuses me

Has my strenght left me?
I never doubted myself
Now I hesitate

To cut down my foes
It was so easy to do
But it saddens her

My demons have left
My soul is free, free of pain
I will embrace love

I live in peace now
A samurai no more
My sword will still guard

Ronin

Where do you go, oh little cloud?
Where do you belong?
For you are a creature of war,
there is never a home.
To travel with the winds,
that is your fate.
To travel to the next fight,
only to leave.
Never to know love,
how sad must that be.
Always to fight,
will you ever be free?

Understanding

Like the red sun rising over a horizon so dark,
Bringing light and heat to a world that's ever so Stark.
For the heavens above open in their grace,
Like two lovers entwined in mutual embrace.
As a single concept exists, forever unknown,
Unlinked to another, which too seems alone.
But the light of this sun seems to pierce like a thorn,
And in their moment of union, understanding is born.

But when I tried to
Think of the words
The words that I needed to say
All I could think about was your smile
And your eyes
And the way that you looked at me
That day you said
'Hi.'
So, I suppose, all I need
to say is
"Hello."

A poem goes here.

I'll get around to writing it when
we stop holding eachother.

"Lament from a lunchtime hour"

He cringes, in anger.
He squirms, in pain.
He sees them, in line.
He averts his gaze.

They would have been welcome once.
They would have been friendly once.
They would have been a cause for joy once
They would have been there once.

Alone he is now.
Alone he sits down.
Alone he awaits.
Alone he speaks: "hate".

At times he wonders: "Why".
At times he gives a sigh.
At times he would rather cry.
At times he would rather fly.

So now he's a alone.
So now it's hit home.
So now he sits here.
So now times are no longer dear.

A friend is lost.
An Element missing.
A joy forsaken.
A day in the life of me.

used to be the sun and moon
a few stars for spice
can't afford a BMW
on currency of nice

I loved you when I shouldn't
put my faith in something undefined
and for my sins I'll see your face
every time I spend a dime

so I'll put your face on the god damn dollar
the bottom line of your soul
I hope the luxury sustains you
when you are too old

to live without love
