If you're still having that whole white square behind your sprite problem it could be cause you're using a BMP file instead of something that supports transparent back grounds. You could just ask someone with PhotoShop of PaintShop to change that white background to transparent and see if that works for you. This is assuming you didn't fix the problem already. Also, great idea, nice execution from what I here (and in visual basic no less). Great job.

Compiling wouldn't be too hard man.. I've some experience with V-Basic (Fuckin hate the program) and if I remember correctly it shouldn't be too difficult.. just look up a tutorial.. I've never done anything that big before.

Hmm... it's not that I don't know how to compile, it's that I can't. I only have the trial version of Visual Basic, you know. :p

Neways, got a friend to compile it for me. So now it's in .exe format.

Edit: Wait a minute! There already exists a dark mage?!
