"I'm up for that Garud. My name's Mr.McSpiff, or Spiffy for short, by the way." The cat readied his weapons. "Now, let us get to the butt kicking!" and he jumped into combat, fighting along side the demon slayer.

Swallow and Roll Out!
|
"Ye gods, Pyros. If you want to do auzzie good, don't talk like that!" Rhiya rumbled overhead as she stomped about, still wondering why there was a sudden flood of lurkers. They can't be lurkers if they don't... lurk.
"Feh, at least they taste nicer, and I'm hungry again." "...mmm..." "What?" "I said I'm too lurky to want to be eaten!" one of the lurkers muttered as he shuffled back nervously when Rhiya loomed like the Eiffel Tower on a cloudy day. Rhiya grinned. Toothily. Twin fires of chaos flared in those dark, evil eyes. Yes, this certainly ISN'T the Rhiya most people knew anymore. She was eviller, nastier, and gave no quarter. That is... when she was in dragon form. But even Rhiya's appetite for lurkers could not stop the onslaught.

"Umm, excuse me..."
POS turned to the voice addressing him, stuffing the last bit of hot dog into his mouth, letting out a curious, "Mm?" About twenty or so lurkers stood before him, the ones effected by the Heart ring, staring at him shyly. Swallowing his food, Pedro's heart rate began to quicken as he realized that they might have caught onto him. He readied himself for the worst. "Ah, yes, noble friends of righteousness," he said, doing his best to present a confident demeanor, "How goes the good fight?" One of the group, a sort of alpha lurker if there ever was one, stepped forward, "The good fight is, um, good. The noobs seemed to have scattered. The rest are being taken care of by those people over there." The lurker then pointed in the direction of the larger melee, a rather nausea-inducing sight of charred, dismembered corpses and overall devastation. "Right," POS nodded, "A bit brutish, aren't they? Still, it looks like just about everything's under control. I guess you, er, we could go help them out, if we want." "Yeah, about that.... Those guys kinda seem to be killing everything that moves, and while it might be the right thing to do jump in and help out, well.... I mean, that dragon's eating people!" POS continued nodding, feigning empathy, "I see, yes. No problem, the whole rest of the city needs your help! Go, make sure that the citizens are out of harms way. We're all counting on you! Huzzah!" The enheartened lurkers brightened up. "Thank you, sir," the alpha lurker exclaimed, "For everything. You showed us the light and helped us change the error of our ways. For that, I know that I'm eternally greatful, and I'm sure the rest of us are, too. We won't let you down!" "Indeed, excelsior, true believers, all that," muttered Pedro half-heartedly as the lurkers took off to whatever the hell noble acts they planned on doing. Sure of his own safety, POS reached into his bag for another beverage and decided to watch the show. They have a point, after all, he thought, That dragon might eat me, too!

Ara ara!
|
It was during a momentary lull in a the battle that a weird spherical distortance in space appeared and Arhra came into the being in the center of it. She looked exhausted. She was also naked. Seeing the place she had appeared in, Arhra gave a momentary shriek of dismay before disappearing behind some rubble, already beginning to summon some clothes. Thankfully the camera angles, lighting and fortiutiously placed hair had conveniently prevented anyone seeing too much.
A few seconds later, Arhra emerged again, fully dressed. She looked up at the looming crystalline bulk of Rhiya and shouted to get the semi-crazed she-dragon's attention, assuming she hadn't already. "I have terrible news! Raiden is going to attempt to steal the Kurosen!" It was then that the darkness of the city and the general destruction registered. Arhra swore, a blistering curse that seemed to make the very stones cringe and then provided an exposition, "I spend almost all my energy on that Summon Past spell and I'm off target! And why the hell can't clothes go through time travel anyway?!" Arhra then swayed and had to lean on her staff - which she had also summoned - for support. She continued in a much quieter voice, "There is one thing we might be abel to do though. "That overly mysterious figure said he knew all about this. All we have to do is catch him and beat the information we need out of him." Slumping a little more, Arhra said one more thing, "Ugh, I need to rest." With the hordes of lurkers and newbs around, it seemed that would be a little difficult.

There is no Toph, only Melon Lord!

"Pyros......I mean......killing these guys is a good deed and all, but.......stop with the mass 'hit and kill everything that isn't me' movs. I know I asked for apocalyptic, but next time tell me if it will involve me being burnt. As it somwhat burns from hell and back."
She said this while putting out th fire in her hair. She sighed and decided things would be safer if she strayed from the physical world for a little while. At least until this fight was over. Her body erupted in a familiar white light. Most newbs just stared at it, occasionally uttering somthing like, "|<3\/\/L" before the bright flash ended in an explosion. Most newbs in the area of the explosion assumed the position of lifeless bodies that fell to the ground. It seemed to be Mesden's mark. <Now I watch what these so called 'NPFers' can do....>

(It appears that Arhra's Summon Past ability is just as useless as Ecurt's Flash Forward. ^^)
Behind them, Ecurt could still hear sounds of mass destruction being carried out. It was no surprise too; after all, he had begun working with Pyros for quite some time now, and knew a little bit about what the little neko-kami could do just by himself. When you added other NPFers to the mix, well... In any case, it seemed that they were perfectly fine here. No enemies (yet), nothing trying to kill them (yet), and no team kills (yet) meant that they were doing pretty well for an NPF team so far. Now seemed the perfect time to discuss their plans, before this moment of peace ended. Glancing over to Mauve and Twiddy, he sighed. "You two know we're going up against Raiden, right? Not to mention the power of the Kurosen. I'm not sure about what you think, but I believe its time for a lot of us to get a power up. "To battle a god and hope to win, you naturally must have the power of a god. I have an idea. Do you guys want to hear it?" |

"Given the demonstration of immense stupid you gave earlier Mr. Ecurt, I think any plans you make regarding us would be..." Spiffy spun around, shot 2 noobs, and uppercutted a lurker with his rat-flail, knocking him out, "...detrimental to our health." The one-and-a-half-Pyrosnines-sized cat jumped up to where Ecurt and the others stood. "Anyone hungry, or thirsty for that matter?"

"Power of the who on the what now...?"
A god. Those words reverberated through Pedro's head over and over again. While the others began discussing the situation at hand during the lull in ridiculous combat, POS weighed all his options as carefully and frantically as one can do at the same time. What in the bluest of blue hell am I doing here?! I'm not a fighter, I'm a shyster--er, businessman! Crap crap crap crap CRAP! ...Okay, okay, no big deal, I'll just head back the hotel and.... No! Can't go back there, still owe... good lord, how much do I owe that place? Okay, fine, I'll tag along with these guys. I mean, I got that crazy voice in my head with all the trippy visions. Clearly, I'm some sort of chosen one. Or something. Dammit, I'm so gonna die... Oh well...... "You, with the dead rat on a stick, cool it," Pedro asserted, turning his attention to Ecurt, "I believe, sir, that you said something about a power up? Your offer intrigues me, and I'd like to learn more..." No minimum to buy. Cancel any time.

"Hmmm..." Mauve mused, tapping her fingers against her chin. "I too am intriuged. Power ups are good for Mauve-chan. Speak, ye bringer of plushies."
Mauve wasn't certain she wanted to have the power of a goddess, in all honesty. That would just take some of the fun out of life, as far as she was concerned. She rather liked the powers of mediocrity. They added the element of uncertainty to battle. Even so, Ecurt had a point. Unless the entire NPF somehow worked together as a team to defeat Raiden, (unlikely) she doubted they'd be able to take him. Raiden had already proven Mauve's powers to be inneffectual against the might of gods, although in her defense, she had been half-crazed and almost out of magic energy at the time. Maybe a little power boost might come in handy later on.
