Name: Shirith
Race: Harpy (Valkyrie Profile Resemblance) Appearance: The bird parts, from crown to wings to tail, are all brown like dead leaves. The woman parts extend from the forehead to where the body and flanks meet the tail and legs is mostly white, particularly for the face and center of the buxom chest. Near the edges, the white gives way to brighter and then darker yellows. The forehead contains several long feathers that curve backward as they rise upward. Those feathers are white with black spots. Equipment/Weapons: No equipment, and it uses its deadly talons to defend itself. Inherent Abilities Dextrous Appendage Impaired: Shirith cannot wield any weapons of any kind, even with practice. Flight: Shirith, like all Harpies, is gifted with flight. Resistance Properties: Shirith is strong against air damage but is weak against earth damage. Vocalist: Damn, that monster can sing! Shirith is a natural at making beautiful music with her sweet voice. Skills Wing Bursts: Strong flapping of its large wings create burst after burst of wind. Lightweight or aerial creatures that rely on wings or fins of some kind might be knocked back, and the gusts can also be used to assist the throwing of objects to the enemy, or prevent objects from hitting her or her allies. Using Wing Bursts for too long (a minute at the most) will tire Shirith out, preventing her from flying or using Wing Bursts for a while. Lightning Sting: A weak bolt of lightning that has never killed a target but has frightened off enemies do to the pain it brings about. Lightning Sting does greater damage to creatures in water, but does little to no damage against creatures with insulated bodies or those made from minerals or just plain rock. Um, question about the skills. When you level up, is the new one in addition or instead of the originals?

My theory was that you just make up one that can be original, or can play off the skills you have. Like mine, I could combine the combo skill and the wind blessed and have aireal combo skill. Or I could just get a lightning bolt spell.

At the level up, you have a choice: Upgraded equipment, a new (for sake of convienience we'll call it) level 1 skill, or the chance to combine two previous skills into a skill of higher level. So you could combine skills and get a related combo attack, or choose a new skill on par with your current skills.

Name: Sarragon
Race: Tiefling (son of Talos) Appearance: Taller than average, he has pale skin and messy black hair. His eyes are an unnatural dark electric blue, much of his body is body is covered with swirling tattoos. He is a handsome man and walks with a confident swagger. He wears loose grey breeches, tucked into black boots, a short sleeved shirt of leather and ring mail, a pair of dark iron bracers, a dark iron half and a swirling dark blue cloak. Equipment/Weapons: In addition to the usual gear, whetstone, blanket, flint and steal etc. All carried in a dark grey canvas pack he also carries a well notched short sword and buckler hanging at either hip and his pride and joy a composite short bow and a quiver of barbed arrows. Skills Static Grasp: A remainder of his divine heritage, upon touch Sarragon can inflict a crackling electrical charge. Although mostly he does this with his hands it can be transferred from any contact. Using it continuously for any length of time is exhausting though is exhausting. Rapid shot: Sarragon is a skilled archer and can pick up his rate of fire considerably. Quote: ‘Oh the death, the mayhem, the suffering… Daddy would be pleased’ Hmm how do things like Dark Vision work? Inherent abilitys I mean. Also Can you upgrade a skill at a level? for example making my Static grasp more powerful or making it a ranged attack? Last edited by Whightwolf; 05-28-2006 at 05:27 PM. |

I'm going to use a character who only uses magic items. So, at the end of a dungeon, would he be able to suddenly find a new item, or would something he already owns be upgraded?

Name: Thomas Illnor
Race: Lycanthrope Appearance: Normally he looks human, standing at 6'2" with shaggy black hair and piercing blue eyes. He has a scar over his left eye, a wide-brimmed hat on his head, and a long leather jacket that goes down to his ankles. Hanging from his neck is a large amulet with ancient runes scribed into it. However, because of his race he can change into wolf creature. It stands at 7', with thick black hair all around his body, with sharp claws and powerful fangs. His blue eyes gain slits in them, and his snout extends. The amulet remains on his neck, while the rest of his clothes seem to be absorbed inside of him, then return when he becomes human again. Equipment/Weapons: No weapons but his claws and fangs. He has a strange amulet that hangs from his neck. Skills: -Lycanthropic Change: This skill allows Thomas to change from a human into a lycanthrope, or vice versa. He has to wait at least 10 minutes between changes to allow his body rest, or else there will be mistakes in the changes, like human Thomas being covered in hair, and the like. -Claws of Steel: This skill makes Thomas's claws sharper than any mundane blade. He can only use this in limited amounts, since using it threatens to tear his claws from his fingers. Quote: "You think you're tough? Let me show you my demon."

((And, to go with Thomas'...))
Name: Kynraze Race: Valkanz Dremora (Lesser Daedra of Oblivion) Appearance: Standing 6' with mottled red jet black skin and purple hair, Kynraze is your typical noble dremora. Her spiked platemail armor is the ragged bloodstained red of her home plane of oblivion. While humanoid, her rasping voice, red eyes and obvious horns betray her demonic ancestry. Accidently summoned by Thomas' amulet, and served him ever since. Equipment: Lower-quality daedric platemail and claymore. Skills: Concussive Strike: Powerful attacks from Kynraze' claymore are likely to stun or knock the opponent back via sonic concussion wave. This attack drains stamina. Lightning Bolt: Magic is a secondary school for Kynraze, but basic destruction is a valued trait. Using mana, she can fire a (relatively) weaker lightning bolt from her outstretched hand with a minimal casting time. Effective to 50 yards. Quote: "..."

More for my own knowledge than anything else, I added an item to my own character sheet called Inherent Abilities. It's just silly stuff that defines my character, such as "Lookit me! I can fly!" and "Argh, teh urth magicks hurteth me!"

Name: Toorima
Race: 3/4 Phantom (Cursed to slowly turn into a phantom. He can be hurt and killed physically, but spiritual damage (magic and such) is much more effective at this point in his transformation.) Appearance: 5'10" tall, long black hair tied into a pony tail, and glowing blue eyes. He looks like a dead man, being very pale and looking pretty weak. His clothes are pretty tattered and worn to add to the effect, and the sword at his hip looks like it won't last through the next fight without breaking. Equipment/Weapons: Phantom Blade- Toorima's katana from when he was still completely human. It looks old and beaten, but is really just changing along with its owner into something else. It can damage a peron/thing's spirit and soul, effectively killing it without a mess. Skills: Spectre Slash- A drawing slash that, upon its master's willing, can send ghostly copies of the sword out in a straight line for about twenty feet. The copies can kill an enemy's spirit, like usual, but disappears the moment Toorima's swing ends. If he wants to use it again, he has to sheath his sword and do the motion over again. Phantom Copy- Toorima makes a ghostly copy of himself that can fight alongside him. If one of the copies is killed, the other can keep going in life, but suffers a lot of pain for a long period of time. Quote: "People say there is nothing between dead and alive. I guess I'm an exception to that rule." |
