Besides, you were shifting the attention from Newb to Garud when this whole thing started. Your words contradict themselves, Cephrir. It seems to me that you're just going "Look at Newb, not me! Other people are looking at Newb, you should too!"

I'm just going to point out that manipualtive and scum don't mean pretty much the same thing. "Manipualtive" and "Good at the game Mafia" mean pretty much the same thing. I think it's been pointed out already that townies and mafia alike try to manipulate everyone else, just with different reasons.

Something about the numbers, just strike me odd. Maybe it's because most of them are odd, or prime. I don't know. I'm not the number man, but supposedly these people are the sub-number men, one of them tell them.

I don't find anything odd about those particular numbers. It's most likely coincidence. I find this a pretty weak way to start off an arguement for convicting someone.

The second sentence is more important though, further speculating on the magical number 7. The thing I don't get here is not why he labels himself the vig (after all, out of the 7 roles listed, vig is the only town aligned), but why call KP the SK perhaps to suggest he's anything but mafia?

Ok, this has merit IMO. There really wasn't need for Newb to include himself on that list at all, nor label himself as a possible vig. Newb knows what he is, so for him to speculate on it smacks of trying to provoke a certain reaction. By including himself on the list he generate the, "Oh, Newb is doing an honest evaluation of the players here. He even included himself on that list, that's how honest he's being." reaction.
The calling himself the vig might be inteded to subtly link Newb = good in people's minds. I don't know how subtle a player Newb is, but I'd imagine that's not beyond him.

This arguement too has merit. More so than I think h4x.m4g3 gave himself credit for. I've been trying to figure out how Newb could read someone so well as to tell which scum they are. It seems to me, and I could be wrong here, that at least for the first couple days the scum strategy is the same whether you're mafia, cult, or sk. The goal is to shift attention away from yourself and onto a townie, which simultaniously gaining the trust of as many people as you can so they won't suspect and lynch you. I could believe that Newb can tell if Mesden is scum or not, but I can't believe that he could tell which scum she is, at least not yet.

So I must Vote: Newb


But I'm suspicious of haxmage as well. His play style of staying in the shadows, while also letting everyone know he's staying in the shadows until he comes out with a big, game altering post seems like a scum type tactic. He doesn't make many posts, so his words can't be as easily turned against him, but he keeps reminding us that he's here so we can't accuse him of being mafia because he's lurking.

Maybe it's just because his playstyle is so diametrically opposed to what seems to be my own. I post all the time, trying to get in every conversation, much to the annoyance of a lot of people I'm sure, because to me being more involved in the game is more fun. I don't know. I'm suspicious of haxamage, but I do believe his arguements have merit on their own, so I'm still voting for Newb.


I know my posts are not the most well worded sometimes, so if I'm not making any sense let me know and I'll try to do better next time.

Newb's apparent slipup seems to be the best evidence we've got thus far. Saying "I'm not sure what you are, but you're definitely not mafia!" really sounds scummy since, as others have pointed out, only a mafiate could know that.

It was a quiet night, as Fenris: Shihouin Yoruichi, "The imitator" Shinigami-Aligned walked along. He kept his clothes in an unusual fashion, which gave the impression he was Ole' Dude With the Face. As he walked along, he could hear whispers from coming from 5 people. "Kill him." One came from behind. "Rip out his entrails." Another said. That was all Fenris needed to hear as he took off running, trying to get away.

He turned a corner, he could hear himself gaining distance away from the voices. He took a second to look back behind him, not seeing a blade whip out in front of him. Letting Fenris' frantic speed do the cutting, Fenris' head was taken out with a clean cut. Their target dead, everyone retreated back into hiding, as dawn slowly broke out over the land.

Well, this is interesting. Who would want Fenris dead? From what i've read into the posts the two people who were most against Fenris were Cephrir and Ryanderman. Not that i'm saying this makes them mafia, but i think it definatly warrants a FOS: Cephrir and Ryanderman.

I think, what happened is the Mafia wanted Ole' Dude with the Face, but Fenris protected him by tricking the Mafia into thinking he was Ole' Dude.

Unfortunately, the Mafia wanted Ole' Dude with the Face dead because he had Mesden's role, and not because of anything he did or said here, since he hasn't done or said anything. It doesn't help us much.

EDIT: I totally missed the lsecond part of SK's post, about the vig. The vig killed Fenris, not Mafia? Does it still mean that the vig was going after Ole' Dude as well? Could Fenris be targeted as himself while imitating someone else?

Well, it looks like IHMN is a genius after all. And to all those people who didn't go along with it like myself, I can only say... wait a moment...

Unfortunately, since it was the SK, it doesn't really give too much evidence. As the mafia and the cult had no idea of their identity, it can't serve to help disqualify people like a mafiate would (assuming no mafiates voting for their own side). Still, we have one less person stabbing us in the night. Huzzah!
