Isreal extremist hack into TCG site
My friend was checking on a website for the fullmetal alchemist card game. What he found was a single page display basically saying an Isreali group hacked into it, and that we were imperialist pigs. We then did some direct addresses and it wasn't just the home page but even the forum. No damage was done to the site and within an hour or two it was back up as if it didn't happen.

Reminds me of this. I mean, both are about hackers hacking to hack and both involved Anime. Some coorelation, maybe?

...which leads inevitably to the question "How the fuck is FMA imperialist?" Just sounds like an odd priority for extremists, is all. Can anyone provide further explanation, or is this gonna be another Mystery of Teh Intarwebs?
edit: Ah, thank you Mesden. Still doesn't help me in my quest to understand the links between anime and imperialist swinery, but the more I ponder it, the more I guess I shouldn't be looking for a coherent reason.

We surrmized it had nothing to do with the anime relation. It was just something Americans go to that wasn't as heavily protected as other more popular sights.
I dont think they were saying FMA was imperialist, but americans were.

Well, okay, even tho' I get that explanation, Aerozord, it's still evidence to me of some rather odd priorities. I mean, even if Americans go there it's still like throwing a pebble at the wall of a comic book shop In The Name Of The Revolution. FMA, along with most anime, just isn't nearly mainstream enough (with apologies to CelesJessa and other FMA fans).
It occurs to me (after seeing Skyshot's very good point) that perhaps these aren't terrifically overbright "extremists", for all their "hacking skillz0rz".

cant link, it was fixed after only an hour or two. Cant even tell anything was done. I could link you to the site for the heck of it if you want
[edit] well I think it was because the FMA TCG site is run by a relatively small company. so they probably dont have high level of protection. I am betting the person was low on the hacker scale. I do however agree it was pretty pointless. Its like getting hit by a three year old. Sure your like 'what the?' but in the end its only minorly annoying

You know they could always just be some stupid kids that want to stir up some trouble.
It just seems that Isreal extremists would go for somthing biggger.
