Ok short and sweet cause I'm tired.
You all awake to find Fenris Wolf's corpse prone on the floor of the briefing room. Just then Fenris Wolf walked into the briefing room as if nothing had happened clearly alive and clearly unchanged. Just as you begin to recover from the shock of the Fenris thing you hear a high pitched scream. Rushing to the source all you find is a pile of clothes clearly belonging to Death By Stabbing Lt Col Samantha Carter: Mason Tauri Aligned. Not to far away you find the horribly mangled remains of catlover20410 Gerak: Free Jaffa Leader Tauri Aligned. When I get my thoughts together I will post a lengthy explination of my decision on the Newb thing. Also, any cult members plaining on continuing to play PM so I know. I may be doing something to salvage the game for you. |

So, I'm told not everything is as fine and dandy as it presented itself to me.
You know what, settle this among yourselves for now, but don't be surprised if there are some major reorganizations regarding Mafia games in the future. |

Ok so here goes. Newb said goodbye at the end of his post thus suggesting that something had happened to remove him from the game. This was not so. If I said nothing I figured, and the first few post demonstrated, most people would assume Newb and I had talked it over. This was not the case. Now believing this to be so changes the game in exactly the same way as if I had come out and said Newb was telling the truth. This is in fact against the rules so I had to say something.
This goes double for the roleclaim earlier in the post. If I said nothing people seemed to be assuming that me and Newb had in fact talked it over. Thus changing the game in the exact same manner as if I had supported the roleclaim. This also was forcing me to say something but I was going to let it slide until I read the end of the paragraph and then the replies. Now seeing this happening I acted quickly because I did not want things to get really out of hand. Things could have happened that would not easily by reversed. So I took what I saw as the best option for preserving the game for the greatest amount of people. However, by my interpretation of this rule, Quote:
That's it in a nutshell. |

Well with our VG dead along with another townie that means we have two less allies. After a quick look-through of the thread I found that FenrisWolf and DbS had a nice little argument going on. However I also noticed that Cephrir put a BIG FoS against DbS as well. Are either of these people guilty of having night roles that oppose the town? I have no idea, but I do believe it's worth questioning and I don't believe catlover20410 had any votes against her so there's not a lot to go on there.
Also who wants FenrisWolf dead so bad that they would target him two nights in a row? The only person I WOULD have suspected would have been DbS myself from the argument but alas it's not. We still have 5 mafiates and 1 SK to deal with, let's find them. |

So, did anyone believe Newb's insistence that I was one of his followers? If you did, let me know so I can point out how I voted against him twice and all that.
Anyways, what happened to Fenris there? I thought it had something to do with the SK (Human Replicator), but now I'm just confused. Also, wasn't Greed supposed to get a death post?

Yeah I think SithDarth probably forgot due to the whole Newb incident (and shall be known from now on as thus...). Newb had lied to us once before so after he was ousted as the cult leader I refuse to believe anything he had to say. As far as FenrisWolf I believe the Bodyguard defended him twice now from an assassination from either the mafia, serial killer, or the vigilante.
Edit: SithDarth could you please update the list of who's left on the first post? Thanks Last edited by Moogle0119; 09-22-2006 at 12:56 PM. |

...Stop trying to kill me. It's annoying.
Also, double thank you to the BG. =D Now, I'm gonna go read over the thread for anybody who either protected me or tried to attack me. One of the greatest strategies for a mafiate is to protect somebody and kill them that night. EDIT: Okay, none of you peeps have said anything, so I present to you who has mentioned me or agreed with me in the past. Bungobill, in the bottom of this post: Linky. Now, I'm not gonna do a vote or anything, but I'm gonna think it over and maybe reread it a few more times.

Intriguing Fenny, along with his degradation coupled onto me about how I 'essentially say nothing' when the good general of my posts always have a definite reason behind him, I'm just not so sure he's not just trying to make people look bad.
Also with things like objecting to fair grammar as a means to avoid what someone says, and other things. But, at that, I can probably use this deductory logic on ANYONE and find some incriminating. Yet...still, I feel kind of odd towards Skyshot. And no, not because of what Newb said. Because of bandwagoning (Like, not just Day 1 bandwagoning. I don't think I've seen him vote when it wasn't a bandwagon...). He seems easily swayed from one vote to another. At first, his vote of IC was a harmless randomvote in day 1. Surely overlookable. But he quickly goes onto defending the bandwagon just for its sake, apparently... ...only to quickly give it up with but the passive proposition of a threat towards him (My old vote of greed which was pseudo determined because he joined the IC bandwagon. Go ahead and read back a couple of posts from that if you don't take my word for it.) How he just quickly switch from one vote right very well next to a new one so quickly, only having a single counter vote to avert his reasons When he just followed along with exactly what everyone else was on about. When he quickly turned from voting with me against Newb to against me as soon as Newb said anything. And 'just to see how it goes' And there's other occurences of him passively defending people. Really, it just shows to me he's trying to play the nice side of everyone and still take every chance to throw an added vote to his advantage. For this much I shall cast Vote: Skyshot for the first prominent action/accusation of the day.

Whee, I'm involved!
Okay, the first few were indeed just random votes. I was hoping to amuse a few people with lines like "You jump on [bandwagons]" and waiting for actual vote-worthy material to come up. Note this line: Quote:
Quote:
As for voting for you, I thought I already explained that one. Newb suckered me at first with his "Oh man I just screwed up I'm so stupid" act and the "goodbye I'm pretending to leave the game" line, and since you were leading the argument against him then, you looked to me like the next scummiest thing. I'll admit saying "Just to see where it goes" looks more than a little shady, but I meant in the sense of "I can be swayed to take this back." As to my apparent flightiness, such as shifting my vote from Newb to you to Newb, I'm just trying to stay on top of things as best I can according to how I see the evidence. You'll notice the circumstances around the re-votes changed too. I mean, usually people complain about people who hold their ground when the evidence shifts against them.

I know! Great, isn't it? =D Quote:
And yes, I know it's just a terms of trying to make yourself look good. Quote:
Basically, I can't know if it's truly like that. It's you asserting what you want me to believe even though it's very easily changed in this game. Quote:
No no no. You completely take what I say out of context. HERE is the actual quote. Quote:
But, when you get seemingly try to get on everyone's good side only then to throw your votes around so much, that's when it comes out as scummy to me. And yes, SK has played the goodside before and it's generally her strategy no matter the game. I THINK, could be wrong here, I was the first one to take a shot at all around good person in Mafia SP with my helpful disposition, when I was actually just the Cult Leader trying to stay alive as long as possible to pump my numbers more. Quote:
It's not so bad to change your votes quickly a little, but you do it a lot. And Bandwagon. Quote:
First: "Staying on top of things" is not an excuse to be so weary with your votes. If anything, you seem just a little bit too easy to suade from one accusation to another without really giving it though. You were 'suckered'? Were you actually? Or were you just hopping onto what looked like the best oppurtunity for a lynch? Implying what 'happened to you' can't really go anywhere. I may seem to steadfast to factual things, but these posts, and not your 'view', are the only things I can honestly trust and it's why I'm standing by my conviction already. Second:"How I see the evidence". I don't think I need to explain my reasons against this one. For all I know it could just be the next closest lynch for you. Also: please, not as an insult but just as personal advice, try to really LOOK into the evidence and check the views of both sides of the argument. I know I said this already and it was after you had 'evaluated' the evidence, but I cannot stress how much taking time to really GET the evidence is. Not doing it leads to hastiness and unfortunate lynchings. Again, friendly advice. Third:"I mean, usually people complain about people who hold their ground when the evidence shifts against them" Well, when they do, we just need to remind them that you need to hold your ground or get lynched, huh? A lot of people must complaing about me, then. And, as far as I can tell, these people won't enjoy you. Defense>Offense people. That's why my offense has never swayed a crowd, EVER before, but rather my ability to DEFEND my offense. If I just accused, I'd get nowhere. You gotta defend what you believe! And, in closing: It's time for Avatar the last airbender. I shall see you all at 7:30.
