Name: Agrerius Montischellan von Kendellac Vyaro IV
Race: Half-orc Class (removable if so desired): Alchemist Age: 26 Hair: Black Eyes: Yellow Skin: Pale yellow-green Height: 6'4" Weight: 240 lbs. Clothes: Simple brown robes Bio: Agrerius was born into a rich, but politically weak, noble house in a medium-sized city. His house was not of politicians, bureaucrats, or clergyman, but of philosophers, magi, and scientists. His father was the second son of his generation, an alchemist and natural philosopher. His mother was an orc servant-girl whose family was indebted to his own for a deed performed in the past, the details of which, ironically, both families had forgotten about. He was raised mostly by his father due to his mother having to do most of the work for the family. He inherited his father's fascination with alchemy, but not philosophy. He believes that men who sit in their studies to think and ponder about morals and ethics are not the ones who make advancements and discoveries. Instead, men of science and magic push the world forward. He even began to play around with his father's lab equipment, despite repeated warnings not to. Luckily for Agrerius, he was exceptionally bright and never made any serious mistakes, at least, not for a long time. Dragon's blood is a very strong catalyst - adding it to a potion increases its strength up to fifty times more than normal. The exception, it seems, is when it is added to flesh, hair, or blood of an extraplanar species, as Agrerius was soon to find out. He was mixing dragon blood with skin from an unamed demon of chaos, a regeant that usually produces a small puff of smoke when in the presence of a catalyst. His father walked in as he added the ingredients together, and they both witnessed small, bright, and enthralling explosions, similar to fireworks. Agrerius was excited to try more, and in his haste to grab imp skin, hoping to magnify the sparks it can create, for something truly spectacular. Unfortunately, he grabbed a Baalor claw. Nobody knows what exactly happened when he added the two together, but what is known is that Agrerius was found unconcious in the middle of his father's destroyed lab, with his father nowhere to be found. Agrerius was scarred by the loss of his father, and spent the next five years of his life exclusively studying, the labs of his father locked up and unused. He holds on to the hope that his father is not dead, but perhaps alive in another plane of existence. Personality: Agrerius is loud, boisterous, and good-humored, but this is only to hide his true feelings about the loss of his father. He no longer averts from alchemy, but has become much more cautious with the mixing of unknown combinations of reagants. Abilities: Agrerius inherited orcish strength and vigor, but a life of study and alchemy has left him weaker than other half-orcs. Still, he is about as strong as an average human male. He is not particularly wise about dealing with other people, partially due to his secluded life, and partially due to emotional trauma. His greatest asset is his knowledge of alchemy, and is a very good potion-brewer. He also has passable knowledge of biology and physics, as well as slightly better-than-average understanding of extraplanar realms. (Should I just make up the alchemical properties of items as we go or do you want to make some sort of formal system?) |

Howdy folks!
This little thing is the brainchild of me and Khael. And since that sounds horribly disturbing I'll not mention it again. I'm here, however, to answer a question about the dice rolling. In the original game (the insanity that this is loosely based on) we used D6's, 4's, 8's, 20's, and in a few cases percentile dice. I'm thinking Khael was wanting to leave how were going to be using those dice as a surprise, so I'll not post exactly how they'll be used. Khael, if you could send me a pm about how you're planning on running this, and how I can pop in every once and a while and destroy your players will to live- er, help these guys complete their quest with little or no casualties. Yeah, that's what I meant. Secretly, I meant the first part.

Good gods, I never have enough time to complete these posts!
The list of players we have is as follows:
Hakiver, theif - bisected8 Ataska Grimdom, asassin - 42petunias Roy, Sonic swordsman - xravi David Quantum, carpenter - darkfire Safra Omowyn, possessed child - The Argent Lord Agrerius Montischellan, alchemist - Ogianres Ishva Brightstar, mage monk - Akamaz Lindo Myuso, cat mage - Myst Eli Revelin, celtic druid - Preturbed Azza, ranger - AnotherOne Aramil, rogue mage - Hastur Dragoon, questionable artist - me Thank you Xravi, that's much better! A swordsman that focuses on dexterity and speed rather than hulking around hitting things in heavy armour. Roy gets the ok. David Quantum's updated version is good to go. Bisected and Petunias, your characters need names. If you are essentially roleplaying a modified version of yourself, please be sure to state your name under theirs anyway. I have updated the information concerning battle and magic back at the start of this thread. Also, Rick Void will hopefully be co-DM'ing this with me, due to my time issues. He'll take turns from time to time when we start. If he tells you to get off his lawn, my advice is to do so.

The Fazalanche is Unstoppable
|
Name: Ishva Brightstar
Race: Elven Age: 247 Hair: Blond (currently shaved bald) Eyes: Green Clothes: Simple monks robes, Rope belt sandals. Class: Mage Monk Class explanation: The Mage Monk is a hybrid Monk/sorceror specialising in hand to hand and offensive magics (shocking grasp, burning hands, eventually moving up to fireball and lightningbolt ect) to offset the usual benefits of monkly training, the Mage monk is forbidden the use of melee weapons (the usual monkly martial arts weapons included) Equipment (carried) Satchel back with change of clothes, a hard rubber ball, and several letters of credit for varying amounts a set of engraved copper discs approximately the size of a CD (the journeyman teachings of Recogni) pouch of spell componants Bio Ishva had an interesting childhood, as her family was part of a travelling trope of entertainers for one of the largest Circuses (the Moonlight Pandemonium Extravaganza) where she performed acrobatic routines both on and off of the high wire. As she grew older, (around 70 or so) she began to take an interest in one of the other acts at the carnival. there was another part of the troupe that performed fighting demonstrations, with their often flamboyant manuvers and magical feats drawing quite the large crowd. Ishva approaced the master of the act, and was approved for an apprentiship in the Order of Recogni, Named after it's founder, Recogni Procemed, the school sought to combine training the body in physical acts, with training the mind in the mystical. (one must be at the least a latent sorceror to join the order). As she grew in the order, Ishva showed promise and was sent out into the world on her journeyman period Motivations: To better herself, "good enough" is never good enough. Occasionally she may aquire various items if interest to her (knowledge and art) but money is generally not an object. Disadvantages: she tends to be looked down upon because of the way she dresses. Personality: generally a very outgoing and trusting person, the order generally teaches bout the intrinsic goodness of man, so she will attempt to look on the bright side of things, but don't think she is ms happy "everyone should be like happy together, man" while she does look upon the bright side of things she's not too naive to recognise evil when she sees it sorceror spells known 0 level Read Magic Detect Magic Mage Hand ray of frost 1st lvl Mage Armor Chill Touch

Name: Ataska Grimdom
Race: Drow Age: 26 Hair: White Eyes: Red Clothes: Black, light cloth with studded leather underneath Bio:Grew up in the undeground city of Vhaeraun, one of the patriarchal Drow cities, and instead of becoming a fighter as many male drow do, he became a rogue, and developed skills which he later honed into becoming an assaissan. He then moved up to the surface, mainly staying hidden by day and coming out at night. He makes his money by carefully picking targets, and then killing them and taking possesions and money, often planning this process out for weeks, and killing the very rich. Weapons: An adamantite curved shortsword, two thin daggers, and a very light dart-firing crossbow Magic:Has a innate spell resistance, and spell powers as most drow do, however, hasn't practiced extensively, but uses them as tools of his trade. He can use Disguise Self, Sleep, True Strike, Obscuring Mist and Charm Person. For the Sleep spell, he carries a small pouch of fine sand, and for the True Strike, he uses a focus object, a miniature replica of a wooden archery target. Edit: changed spells and armour.

I'm gonna warn you now, Ataska's plate armour is going to make some noise clicking against itself. Adamantite is expensive and makes excellent weapons and armour... good plusses. I do understand that the drow guilds would have been easily capable of equipping you with those. You will be starting off with no poisons and less gp in exchange.
Submit a list of low level spells that you think are class-appropriate. I'd say five spells at most to start. My DM for another campaign has my player's handbook, aaaaaargh! Post what you think you can get away with, and we'll see! Damn ADD. I'm so noob at this it burns!

Stealing AB's schtick.

Name: Lindo Myuso
Race: Cat person (basic humanoid, with slightly more pointed feline face, cat ears, and tail. Also has retractable claws) Age: 2 (appears mid teens) Hair: White, with a grey marbling pattern throughout Eyes: Light green, with verticle cat pupils Clothes: leather pants under a light cotton robe. The robe is a dark red, with black and silver runes detailing the specific wizards guild the wearer is associated with. equipment: clothing, ebony staff (doubles as a walking stick, about 6' in length). spell component pouch. A satin collar with a bell on it. A decent supply of food, as well as a waterskin of milk. Bio: Lindo is the product of a wizards experiment to create special humanoid bodyguards. Originally a simple housecat, he was transfigured into his current form in order to protect his maker. His initial training focused on magic, but his "lack of intelligence," to quote his maker, lead to him being trained as a more martial protector. Despite not being trained as a wizard anymore, Lindo continued to practice at his spells, wanting to prove that he was good enough. After about eight months, the wizard wrote off the experiment as a failure, and prepared to eliminate the flawed results (read: kill the kitty-cat). Lindo escaped, and has been wandering about ever since. Lindo is what most people would call naive, seeing the world still from a more feline perspective. He expects everyone to treat him nicely, give him attention, and scratch his ears when he wants it. As a result, he often comes across as juvenile and whiny. The only thing he seems to genuinely care about, besides himself, is acquiring magical knowledge, so that he can convince his creator that he isn't a failure. Abilities: Low level and unreliable magical abilities. Naturally stronger and more graceful than his size should allow, as a leftover of his cat form. Also always lands on his feet, is naturally sneaky, and can see well in the dark. Can fight with either his staff, or unarmed using his claws. spells: (tentative) dancing flames, mage hand (standard training spells) mage armor (for bodyguard work) cats bell: a minor noise creation spell, similar to the sound of a cats bell or cats meow in other directions (about 100 ft away max) charm person (minor): usually used to get the treatment he feels he deserves freezing gaze: affects low willpower enemies, causing them to freeze as long as eye-contact is made, similar to how some small creatures like mice will freeze in front of a predator. Enemies will still defend themselves, but cannot move or attack. extended pounce: doubles jumping distance, allowing truly spectacular pounces.

Is this appropriate? I have no experience with this sort of thing.
Name: Eli Revelin Race: Human, of Celtic descent Age: 20 Hair: Brown Eyes: Brown Clothes: A dark green tunic bound at the shoulder by a silver brooch shaped like an oak leaf Weapons: A ritualistic stone knife, crude yet curiously ornate. It is primarily used for the work described below, and if it causes bloodshed, it must then be purified. Other Items: A leather pouch containing various semiperishable foodstuffs, alchemical agents, and a handful of smooth shiny stones. Special Abilities: Limited shapeshifting, limited alchemy. Bio: Eli is one of only a handful of druids trained in and capable of the art of self transmutation. That is, he can take the form of whatever animal he chooses. However, he is limited in this because to attain the ability to transform into a creature he must first kill it and ritualistically absorb its soul before that which is ethereal has vanished into the Beyond. Eli has only done this to one small creature so far, a mouse, and the horror of it was almost enough to make him leave the Order. This isn't to say the druids are evil (they feel that to do this is to absorb the essence of the gods), but rather that Eli has a weak stomach. After his first ritual, he expressed his displeasure with the elder's methods, and for this he was literally cast out, not only from the order but also from this plane of being. He will be allowed to return when he has "become a true man." Some notes on transformation: - When Eli transforms, he retains his current hair and eye coloration. If his hair has been bleached or dyed, this will be evident in his creature form, although especially bright colors may appear muted. Though somewhat less likely, if his eye color is changed by magic this will also be apparent. Contact lenses or other glasses will clatter to the ground around him (Eli does not have this knowledge). -Eli is not "out to get you," or out to get any other creature for that matter. The act of killing something and trapping its soul is disgusting to him, and he will likely only do it in a dire situation. The form of a sentient being cannot be duplicated by Eli. I'll leave vocal abilities while in form up to the DM. EDIT: Out of town from Wednesday 11/22 to around Monday.
