Beware: The following is terrible beyond anything you could possibly imagine.
Look into this bleak pitiless rictus of Horror itself, and risk the very essence of your soul. You Have Been Warned!

Best. Musical. Ever.
(Except the one where a demonic barber kills people, and his landlady makes pies out of them. But that's a high standard to live up to, now isn't it?) Not only are the lyrics funny, but the guy can sing, and the music is actually quite good, and totally in the style of a broadway musical. It's that level of craft that puts videos like this head and shoulders above the pack. I mean, "Where is this Place" is totally catchy. I would absolutely pay to see this shit on Broadway. Harsh. A cartoon sketch on SNL that only ever aired once, and was censored by NBC for the West Coast audience. Not so much funny as really intensely bitter, jaded, and surprisingly candid. I'm sure you've wanted to do something like this. I know I have. I kind of did once -- I said that my mom's boyfriend (who they were calling for) had SARS, and was quarantined on a small cottage in northern Canada. Somehow, they saw through this ruse.
