Default Adore

Confused again
Just like before
And I don’t know which one
I should adore
Not sure who
Can’t quite see
Just who exactly
Is adoring me

I adore her
My fragile flower
Lips as pink as petals
Her eyes on my mind
Her perfume in my dreams
Someone’s perfect daughter
And my greatest desire
I hope we adore each other

She who adores me
Dons white and black
And is ferocious
Can sometimes attack
Pushes other away
But I’m there to stay
She adores me
And I don’t know why

I adore another
We’re close to each other
Her passion for life inspires me
She is a unique creation
With her love of tomes
She makes me want end my roam
This is true, I tell you
I adore a bohemian

Another who adores me
Is often melancholy
She wants more than this
And often I wonder
What I have done
To make her think I can grant bliss

Whom do we all adore?
That question needs an answer
And who am I to know our treasure?
I adore some
Some adore me
This heartbreaking game
Is part of history
Always has been
Always will be
Can’t I find someone whom I adore?
And adores me?

Default Life sucks.

Surprisingly Sane:

Family never woke me up
Took my Ritalin at one
Work had just three people on
Ten was when we all got done
Never got to sleep last night
Puking cat and storming rain
But here I stand before you now
Still surprisingly sane

Just No:

I'll do it when the moon howls at the wolf
I'll do it when the beach laps at the tide
I'll do it when the Dead Sea flows into the Jordan
I'll do it when the sun rises in the west

I'll do it when you know more than
Me and better know what's best
But as of now there is no way
You're cheating off my test :shifty:

Die KirschenBlüte

Ein KirschenBlüte gewachst auf ein Baum.
Shön und strahelnd, es hat geblühen.
Aber, hat es ein kurze leben.
Vorher lang, die Blume schluppen die Blütenblatt,
Und sie ruhen auf dem Grund.
Und wo dem Blumen einmal war,
Ein ruben rot Kirsche ist.
Nur zu essen werden.
Und wan der Saaten sturz auf dem Grund,
Ein nue Baum Erwach'sen.

crippled
by the taste
of memories
not yet lived

and missing
only sweetness
of the breath
you've never felt

kissing
necks and tongues
in tiny circles
drawn across the years

we'll die
you know
we'll all die
and be no more...

but hold me
and see me
a fallen archetype
master of an absence

of fate...

Default The Rooster

Here's a segment from a parody I wrote of Edgar Allen Poe's The Raven

Once upon an evening chilly, as I ate my cheesesteak (Philly),
--Despite its prior but brief rendezvous with the floor,
While I chewed it, taste-buds singing, all at once there came a ringing,
As though some one’d started pressing, pressing the bell upon my door
‘Probably some drunk’ I grumbled ‘ringing the bell upon my door –
Only this, and nothing more.’

Ah yes, now I recall—It was at college in early Fall,
And all my undone school assignments had formed a carpet upon my floor.
After the steak had eased my hunger, I began to regret my financial blunder;
The cost of the meat had put me under, under enough that I felt poor,
Sorrow filled me as I reconciled my new-felt status among the poor,
Penniless now and evermore.

”In tatters” best described my curtains, testaments to my fiscal burdens,
They irked me – filling me with such self-pity that I had never felt before;
And so, when the bell would not stop ringing, I found myself dourly thinking
‘It’s some confused and drunken cretin, reeling outside my dorm-room door –
Just another drunken cretin, mistakenly calling at my dorm-room door’;
This I thought, and nothing more.

Presently I could not take it; I picked an excuse and tried to fake it,
‘Sorry,’ I said ‘Please forgive my rudeness, I implore;
But, you see, I was practicing singing when you came and started ringing,
And so I did not hear you ringing, ringing the bell upon my door,
Do not fear, I’ll let you in’ – and in so saying, opened wide my door; -
Hallway there, and nothing more.

I stared into the silent hall, drink in hand, my mind enthralled
By fears, beer-induced fears no sober student had ever dared to fear before
But the silence stayed intact; no one there to catch-in-the-act
And soon my thoughts drifted back; I beseeched the ceiling “why’m I so poor?”
This I asked, and an echo whispered back the words ‘so poor’.
Financial woes, but nothing more.

Back into my room I stumbled, my fearful thoughts now quite jumbled,
Presently I heard a thumping much more ominous than before.
‘It sounds’ I cried ‘like there is someone knocking upon my window’s shutters;
I will prank this nightly prankster, and upon their scalp this steak sauce poor -
I must prepare to trick this trickster, and upon their noggin steak sauce poor; -
It’s just some idiot, and nothing more!’

So I opened up the pane, my bottle of steak sauce cocked and aimed,
And in climbed a dusty rooster, a throwback from the farms of yore.
I waited in shock for some reason for this awkward and abrupt intrusion;
But, with demeanor calm, it merely sat upon my floor –
Settling down amidst the detritus upon my dirty dorm-room floor –
Sat, and stared, and nothing more.

Due to several pending lawsuits, Blizzard's long anticipated next installment in the famed Starcraft series, Starcraft II, has been renamed "Funcraft II". In addition, according to a Blizzard spokesman, the game will no longer focus on interstellar battle but will instead be centered around the idea of nonviolent conflict resolution, with the game's ultimate goal being to bring about interstellar harmony.

"Hello, bed"

Hello bed,
As I would lay me
down to sleep
Will you comfort me?

Hello bed,
Is it time to run away
and bury myself deep?
There is nothing here, you see

Hello, bed.
Shall I lay here dreaming,
keeping all the dark at bay?
Maybe you can take me away...

Your covers hold me tight
Your softness is just right
and your body cradles mine
as I cry at all, tonight.

So hello bed,
We meet here again,
and I wonder why it is
you cannot keep me here
and dream away my life.
