I am not a racist...
I just hate everyone around me equally, regardless of skin color!

Funny.
So, let's apply this to Europe. Yes, I am discriminatory towards ethnic minorities who won't do jack squat to support themselves and live off our goverment, thus from OUR tax money. Other than that, I fully welcome any Moroccan, Turkish, Polish, Surinam, WHOEVER to live and work in the Netherlands. As long as they take care of themselves. Still, I'm a racist then. Sure. Whatever then, right? Now comes the fun part. If I'm walking past a group of Moroccans* and they ALL spit on the ground while I'm walking past. One of them makes a remark in Moroccan and all of them laugh. + Apparently, they're discriminating me. But... according to the university, they're not? How fun. * Or whatever ethnic minority. + This has actually happened to me.

I took a class on Racism and that definition was given to us as well (the idea that only white Americans can be racist because they are backed by a historical-cultural structure that protects them).
While there are merits to that argument, there are also pitfalls. Notably, things have changed a hell of a lot. This isn't the 1800s anymore. Or even the 1900s. Our generation is the most tolerant of all time, progress is certainly being made, I think new definitions are needed. That article made me angry. To be a racist, or racialist, is your right. If you want to think a certain way, that's your right! This is America for pete's sake. Most people have some sort of opinion on race because we're socialized into a culture that talks about it all the time. One can have a negative view of races without being racist. I think there are billions of shades of gray on this subject, and its no one's business to preach and convert people to some special way of thinking.

I guess the best way to combat "educational programs" like this would be to not attend universities and colleges that do this sort of thing and to encourage one's relatives and children to not attend those universities and colleges.

There's actually a University of Delaware? I mean, I suppose they have to have one to avoid out-of-state fees at other colleges, but still...next you'll be telling me there's a University of Rhode Island!
While the idea that "only white people can be racist because they are the only ones who are backed by the white power structure and allowed to be" is sort of correct, in a cart-before-the-horse sort of way, I don't see why that means that all white people are racist--just because they are CAPABLE of it or ALLOWED to be doesn't mean they are. Well, that and the first statement isn't correct, since plenty of minorities are allowed by our "racist white government" to be racist all they want. *enter Chris Rock*
