Goddammit Celes you're so freaking good. Jerk.
I have a couple pictures, but Imageshack is being a bitch, so I can only give you guys those links. Sorry. Edit: Smokey the bear's slogan plus the Highlander thing. [IMGhide]http://img386.imageshack.us/img386/4868/onezz8.png[/IMGhide] Kind of a remake of my old colored picture with the angel looking away at the sunset. A sketch remake anyway. CJ, I must say, that picture totally made my day. Funny stuff.
Celes, that is really awesome, but the shdaowing kinda bothers me. That guy on the right (I'm assuming it's a dude due to lack of female boobs), his shirt bothers me. Like, the shadowing seems too thin. Also, some of the highlighting seems kinda goofy, like it's too excessive. Could be just me though. As for the girl the shadowing on her hair seems off. Mainly the shadowing on the that strand of hair on the right. The shadowing looks too "forced" and throws me off. The lack of shadowing on her shoulder makes it look wonky too. But seriously, that's amazing. TDK, the way the angel wings are drawn are an improvement, but one thing bothers me about them. It's that they look really droopy. Like, the overall structure of the wings are missing and looks like they are incapable of flight. I'd recommend just looking up feathered wings and just study them. I'm not saying just to use an image as a reference while drawing, but just look at them. Study the structure and how they look like. Then, draw from memory based on what you've gathered. Some of those other drawings are pretty funny too. Anyway I sketched a rather vague landscape. I was referencing but half way through it just practically threw it out the window and went from there. I really like the results: "The Lone Tree"

Well, we finally got a (crappy, infuriating) scanner, so I figured I'd take this opportunity to use it on a more recent sketch (before I throw it out a window).
It got a bit blanched and the page wasn't exactly flat, but the main gist is still discernible. It's based on my "Innocence" avatar from a while back. I realize it needs a lot of work on the forward arm, because I suck at foreshortening, but I'm pretty happy with the rest of the anatomy. Also, I know, no eyes. I need to figure out how to combine facial work with body work. Right now, it's one or the other.

So you might remember that I was doing an Overcompensating / Sweeney Todd crossover thingy. I'm still working on that (got 14 of 19 full-page drawings complete) but in the meantime it seems all I can draw is OC stuff.
Even at work. I can't even draw real things any more. I tried. ...I may be in trouble.

RZ, there's this thing called therapy. Might wanna look into that. Maybe.
Anyway, I drew a horse. I used reference but then started messing around with the proportions and made 'im somewhat fat with stubby legs. The shadowing made him look depressed which was unintentional, but oh well. A tablet was not available to me at the time so I had to add all finishing touches (mainly shadowing) with a mouse.

Naqel – Hmm I’m thinking something like Sierra. I don’t know why. That’s just the name that came to me.
Celes – Teach me your cell-shading ways! Do you use any sort of pallet when choosing color, or do you just go with what you think looks good? TDK – I don’t get the first one, but I haven’t seen Highlander, so that might have something to do with it. Why do you use to draw on, just out of curiosity? It looks like pretty thick stuff from the scans. Savage Thinking – Fantastic. I still love how you do coloring. The only suggestion I would make is to make the grass get lighter as it goes into the distance. As it is now, it matches the color of the grass closer to the picture plane, and kind of messes with the perspective of it. (plus if you made it lighter in the distance, the tree would stand out more, because right now, it just kind of blends in with the grass. Still, very nice. Also, very nice stubby pony. His short legs make him so endearing. Bluestarultor – A good way to combine faces with bodies is to not draw one or the other first. Instead use guidelines to map out the face/body shape, and then go from there. I know if I draw the head first, or the body first, it’s almost impossible to make the other part fit in right. Kaneda – Hah. I don’t get the pun, but I love Dib. RickZarber – You make me laugh. =D Anyway, I was looking through some old notebooks of mine and I found this. I have no idea when I drew it or why, but it made me laugh. I've been trying to draw stuff for awhile but nothing is coming out right. D= Not to mention I'm supposed to draw some big non-anime-y stuff for people to hang up in their houses. What do they think I am, their personal decorator? XD

i have been working on my art work to the point that i turned it from manga to comic. although now im trying to get to the equilibrium of the two so i can express both my loves and my hates for each.
this is one of the main causes of my artest blocks. relearning everything all over again is not fun but in the end i hope it makes me a better artest

Yay for drawings! The place hasn't been active in two days and I am scared. So I come with 150 cc's of art and comments! I don't know where to start so I'll just start somewhere.
Celes: Fancy picture, your colouring makes me sad in that it's awesome and mine is blah. TDK: Your angels are getting better and that's cool, I like that. Also, I'd say your forest fire pic rivals the one about how you saved Santa (and ultimately Christmas, if I remember correctly?) for the best piece ever. Rick: I don't know whether to laugh or to shudder. But I laughed anyway. For some reason I can see you drawing Mario and making him look awesome. Savage: Nicely done landscape and horse (or pony, I keep thinking pony). Might I suggest mashing the two together? The horse drinking from the water? Or the landscape covering the horse? Actually that'd be pretty sweet... bluestar: Very cool guy, I like his, "Yo, check this out" stance going on there. To echo sentiments about facework, don't try and do one or the other first. Actually... it's easier to draw the face if you've got the boundaries of the head already. Much easier because then you know that you're not going to make a chin that juts out way too far and just looks stupid or something like that. CJ: Your Link is a silly and I think it suits him. Really, at that age he has no business running around saving the world. In fact, what you drew is how he should act. Also, your lineart mermaid/winged people is pretty neat. Is it bad that I got kind of dizzy? Doc ock: Cool pose, very nice work on the hand and arm. You're going places. And now for mine! It's a stylized self-portrait I was inspired to draw after seeing a picture of Viral from TTGL, baring his teeth and looking awesome. So I thought I'd try it too. And so this was born. It also serves as my current Facebook profile pic 'cause I like it so much.
