I'm curious about that myself. Are there multiple gossipers? The words Gossiper-aligned imply it, but Ecurt's reaction doesn't. Either way, if he has an ability that can reveal mafiates and is willing to help the town, I see no reason to vote him.

I mean it's the reasonable. The Gossip doesn't sound like a role that is going to win by offing one person, sounds more like a role that would sooner help someone else by talking, similar to a PO, sorta?

Moogle is the Nosey Gossiper - Gossiper Aligned. So now we have 3 people we could go after. Ecurt, Moogle, and Demetrius. Given that I haven't investigated Demetrius, I have no clue whether Ecurt is telling the truth or not. I'll withhold my vote on him in case he's vengeful.

As Fenris and Demonlink have already said the fact that Ecurt is "Gossip" aligned doesn't strike me entirely as "anti-town". After re-reading the thread I did notice where B_real mentioned several times in his posts the word "Gossip" very oddly so apparently he knew ahead of time that Ecurt wasn't town-aligned specifically. Gossipers usually spread information and have lots of it so I'm willing to believe Ecurt's claim for now. Most likely he'll get killed soon anyway and if we find out Ecurt's lying, well we'll get him tomorrow for being a lying gossiper.

Well, that answers at least that part of my question. In any case, Fenris' idea works for me, but I'd rather wait until the gossipers explain what exactly they are before committing myself to anything.

Gossipers are probably Masons with a win condition...? What that condition would be, I have no idea, and whether Ecurt is lying about their "harmless" powers, I have no idea.

I'm gonna hold off on bandwagoning Demetrius, or anyone until I see some more reasoning. I mean, hell, why are we even voting for him? Did I miss something?

Basically, a gossiper follows people at night. The two of us share that information amongst ourselves. We could use it either to claim PO - which, unfortunately, B_real already proved himself to be, or otherwise know who to vote for and why.

It was damn near impossible to get a majority in the town with just the two of us. It's impossible now that you found both of us, and even more impossible now that you know who we are.

Honestly, though, it's a simple decision. You can go after us right now, when the mafia might try to kill us anyway for being able to out them, and ignore trying to find the real people killing you, or realize that you can use us and lynch Demetrius.

Honestly, though, I'm not going to vote yet. I'll wait and see what everybody thinks, and go along with what you choose - even if it's to lynch me.

Hey, I put my hat in for Demetrius (I'm just not voting). Why lynch them (Gossipers) now when they can still be helpful to the town? Unless of course they're lying, which I suspect they may be about thier numbers, but thats not exactly a big deal since they can't increase thier numbers and we've already got 2 of them out in the open.
