Khael- Ahrgh So cool. I love it! Teach me how to color too? I really love the purples and the blues that you used. Maciek - creepy! But well done! Good job TDK - nice pose. The wings look pretty good. Not completely finished, but progress? Also, I think the thumbnail looks better. XD : Taking a risk and messing with some reflected light. Green! It's kind of funny how I easily spend a few hours every night on this picture without even noticing, but once I get over a few hours on a project for art class, I start getting antsy.

Please give Samus some sexay hips.
Love, Demetrius I like the light application, and the face looks much better. Maybe some reflection from her blaster onto the ground or a hand?

Celess Jessa, I see that Ive got CG brotha' here!
So this is a sketch of my girfriend ; ) : And this is how I do it: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SOy0tJ-Am68 Tip: If you are using photoshop try blending style - pick color more often and blend it with lower saturation. Rather don't use flow (let it be 100%), its deceptive. ^^ And use a bit more hard edged brush. If you use soft edge brush your picture will look like clay. Try it. Flow is tricky to use and needs a lot of practice to get the desired results, yes. I've worked it into my coloring style over the years..which has adapted and changed a great number of times and will be in flux even more. Constantly experimenting.
But yes, I generally leave flow at 100% and fiddle with opacity. All settings are subject to use be it brush styles to layer styles. I uses thems alllllllls. Lately I've been getting into making my own custom brushes for whatever purposes. But maciel does have a point, Celes. The coloring is looking a bit muddied. Could use some further defining with harder brushes and stronger more defined edges. |

CJ: Awesome as always, though the color looks a little...soft or something.
Maciek: HATE YOU. Fucking amazing people and their amazing art...Hmph. *folds arms and pouts* (Also, she's hot. :3 ) I like the way this turned out. The right guy's sword is based on one of Andy Frogman's swords from UJ. Last edited by TDK; 09-25-2008 at 04:44 PM. |

Demetrius - Sexay hips eh? Hmmm. We'll see. And I added some light for the gun
Maciel and Skweeb- Ah, I'll have to try and make my painterly things more sharp from now on. I tend to go overboard with the blender. I'll have to go back and see if I can manage to make it look better with some sharper shades. TDK - Thankya I know a lot of people do the computer-colorings, but I'm going to be working with Cra-pas oil pastels and if anyone has any advice for how to use them effectively, that would be awesome. Magiek - That's really nice! I'm going to have to watch that video over and over again to figure out how to make mine look nice as well. ^^ TDK - Looking good. I like the guy on the right's hair.

TDK, lots of expression in characters faces and whole illustration!
Tip: Your picture would really looked much better if it wasnt cropped so far. Train with composition! Fast sketches. Lots of. Hail! |

Crap for my webcomic. It's a space marine (with a wooden shotgun and a wooden chainsaw) and a koala fighting off dropbears. The koala is smoking. So yeah. |

Crack the sky is *awesome*. This is my tribute. Hm, it would be more awesome if the cracks didn't go over top of the building silhouettes I added at the bottom of the background. Damn...Too late now. (CTS is a band, by the way.) |
