Because I had this horrible moment where I wondered what it would be like to be a self-aware testdummy.

Defaulted to the first awesome thing that came to mind. School seems to give me plenty of inspiration for some reason, and without it, I feel unmotivated. Odd. While I drew this, I was thinking... You know how people, especially celebrities, give their kids really stupid names? I think "Leonidas" would be the one acception to that. I would call him Leo for short. Oh yeah and Khael FUCK YOU AND THE HORSE YOU RODE IN ON YOU GOOD BASTARD. I mean the drawing is great but like the subject matter has an equal part in that as the drawing itself, y'know? I can't seem to get the former down pat. My drawings are much better if I'm drawing something I want to draw, something awesome. Last edited by TDK; 10-22-2008 at 08:42 PM. |

Savage Thinking - Intergalactic Dinosaurs? I like how you think. And thanks for the comment on my earlier picture.
TDK - Nice wizardcat. I would maybe use some reflected light on the rim of the darkest shades, it really helps it look dimentional. But still, very nice. Doc Ock - Hah! that made me laugh. Khael - Very nice. I really particularly like the profile of the dummy. Very nice. I'm mildly obsessed with Mother 3 right now, so here's some fanart. (Not really spoiler-y, but just to be safe since the english version just came out. From Chapter 1 of the game) And the colored version:

Khael, that's totally great, yo. His hands seem a bit awkward, though.
TDK, his face totally creeps me out (in a good way). Dude, you are seriously improving, keep it up. Hey CJ, did you modify the outline before coloring or am I slowly loosing it? Oh, and something about the shadowing on the faces seems off. Like, the soft highlighting really throws it off or something. It looks awesome, though. As for me, I've been drawing a girl. No one in particular but I've been going for a more realistic apporach. I've tried so many times to get farther than that but it ends up looking terrible and I end up starting over..

I like your drawing a lot. The eyes look really nice. Although I think the eyebrows might be a smidge too high. Everything else is looking good. When you're continuing, you might want to draw some guidelines as to where the nose and mouth would be just because it can get decieving to just eyeball it, and maybe that is what is making you think it looks terrible or something like that. I really like it though.

Oh, CJ, that picture turned out really fun since you started it over! Very nice and warm feel to the colours. (thanks for teaching me the magic of the pen tool!)
TDK, you have some hella creepy teachers. I had one who looked like that, but still less goony. Yikes! Good art though. *thumbs up* And yes, thank you for pointing that out Savage. I think it's the arms that are throwing the hands off, though I doubt if I fix it that it'll end up posted here. I'll try to pay better attention to arm length next time. EDIT: This is what happens when I stay up till 12:30 AM talking with CJ.

I think Yaplet is my new source of entertainment now. Someone calls me chicken butt, we're talking about art, and BAM! I draw it. These aren't uber detailed, but considering I drew it so fast, and with relatively few undos/erases, I'm quite happy. DAMN does it feel good to doodle utter nonsense again.

Hey dudes and dudettes. Awesome jobs all around, I am thoroughly impressed. Especially so with you, TDK, you're really coming along in your skills (I know everyone's said it but it's true!)
In other news, I have another piece for ya'lls! It's my take on the Ikaruga (not all that accurate, I know). It's one wonky ship though, it's all, like... detailed and stuff. :P I'm thinking maybe of adding some colour? But I'm not sure, yet.
