Dragon's Den cheats. It really does. The random encounters are worse than the dragon's themselves, for the most part - just because there are so damn many.

Especially Yojimbo. Fuck Yojimbo.

You could still do the grotto where you fight enemies back to back non-stop for hours!

And besides, THE LAST 9 FIGHTS are the dragon's den dragons and then kaiser... BACK TO BACK... no breaks.

I thought you could only do Soul Shrine after beating the game?

Though, doing it does net you another Master Scroll. And Glutturns, while a pain in the ass, do net some decent steals. But, Glutturns are a pain in the ass - I mean, seriously, Ultimas every turn, dealing about 6000 damage, and then Heartless Angel when it flees?

I encountered those things three times in my last Soul Shrine run. Ugh.

So, I tried to do the Kefka fight, and I accidentally loaded a savestate before Dragon's Den.

WAY before Dragon's Den.

Funny. It turns out that when you load a savestate, it converts all of your saved games to how they were AT THAT SAVESTATE.

So yeah, guess what? That fucking optional dungeon didn't earn me a THING that I can use anymore and I'm not going through it again. I'm still going to mop the floor with Kefka, but I won't be able to use Diabolos... or top-level characters.

On an unrelated note, what do you guys think is the best way of relieving stress: self-mutilation, or mutilation of everything that is not yourself?

Well go full speed ahead man. We have the evidence you fucked up the Dragons hardcore (not you fucking up but fucking up the dragins. You know what I mean) So go kill Kefka. Kill him hard.

Yes, destroy Kefka and his insane clown-ness. Do it with finesse. Sorry to hear that your save state fucked your file. I found out the hard way too.
