Well with Shinji's power explaining it doesn't really help you any. Its pretty easy to figure out what is going on anyway. It relies on the fact that normal people even if they know everything is backwards have a hard time adjusting. Telling them everything is backwards can actually make it worse cause then they think about it instead of getting used to it. Aizen is just immune by plot to the effect.

you guys keep forgetting that so far Shinji only showed his Shikai form, not his Bankai form. Nor his Bankai form while using his mask.

Sure, Gin will Block Ichigo's Attack now, and we are yet to see if Hirako's power will affect them both, but he is not out of the game yet.

So then I guess next week we'll probably see the rest of Yammy V.S Kimpatchi and Byakuya, and probably A little bit of Shingi V.S Aizen. Along with Ichigo either...

A. Fighting Gin

B. Helping Shingi

or

C. Sitting back and watching the action

Because It started out as a good series and the main character didn't bother me much, in fact my favorite fights from the earlier arcs feature Ichigo. Then he turned Goku, but there were enough other characters to make it entertaining enough.

Furthermore, the things I said about Ichigo might take it slightly farther than I actually mean them. It's not like it ruins the Manga for me that Ichigo's the main character. I don't give much of a damn about any main characterby that I mean people without much of a personality the story revolves about, there are also good main characters, but Ichigo is not one of those to me., because they are usually required to be trite and boring so enough people can identify themselves with them.

But it will suddenly get very annoying when a fight takes up thrice the amount of chapters any other fight would take and there are no new developements, just one totally fatal blow and whoops he survived. Let's wait for the next chapter for the next stab through the head. Maybe it'll work this time. What? He survived that too? Ooops Ichigo, you lost three limbs, and Orihime isn't even there to fix you up. Oh no!
And by the end of the next chapter Aizen will have transformed into the final boss or something and then we get characters talking while they fight because nothing happens, really only a rapid exchange of blows. And in the end Aizen won't die, no he goes into the Dimension X to do evil and our heroes have to stop him.

That's the worst imaginable scenario.
It can't be that bad.
At least I hope that.

That would be fine if Aizen had to use his Shikai. Or Ichigo hadn't shown up yet.

Now that Ichigo is here, I have doubts about Shinji having a huge role in what's to come. He'll most likely be sidelined somehow.

Not really, the Filler arc is coming to a close. By February we should already have this fight since this is pretty much where canon story stopped.

Also, i just jumped 10 Episodes of the filler arc and noticed that i didn't miss a thing.

I am starting to wonder if Aizen is either incredibly genre savvy oh got the villian ball. He's been killing his own people for no real reason which is counter productive as any surviving allies (which I admit there are few of) will consider defection. Then again he might be so genre savvy he knows "defeat means friendship" trope of shonen series and decides to kill them off before then. Which would explain the reason behind the Morte group offing all the defeated hollows
