Ichigo always fight with 100% from the start. Just now he is giving somewhat plausible excuses for that. Everyone else says they have a reason, some hate their higher powers, some don't think the enemy is worthy, some think that if they show their main trick, the enemy can rebound easily, some say they don't want to be dependent of higher power...

It's all clich� excuses, but it's at least effort to give one that has some sense.

1) I'm pretty sure some of the higher level captains have hopped right to Bankai before so its nothing new. I think Ichigo even managed it without screaming Bankai once.

2) I've seen it translated the exact same way from two completely independent sources. I totally thought it was a translation error two but the two different places I get my manga fix from usually have very different takes on translation and still came up basically identical on that phrase. If it's an error then it's an error in the original.

I do like how people are self aware enough to both, use the attacking blind spot tactic, and be aware that there are those that do it. I was worried Aizen was gonna pull off some godmode "I saw it coming" thing, but instead it was something he prepared earlier since its a clear weakpoint. Someone did this to Byakuya, Renji I think, knowing his love of flashstepping behind people the instant he saw him move he blocked his back

You know a thought occurred to me. A major flaw in the captains plan to cover Ichigo while he attacks Aizen. Since most of the Captains have seen Aizen's Shikai and are venerable to his illusions. Whats to stop them from thinking Ichigo is Aizen and attacking him? Sure he's fast but so is everyone else.

Actually, I've got to ask this - what is Aizen's real plan? I've heard it's for him to become the most powerful being in existence, but what will he do with all that power? Kill everyone? Become a tyrant astride the worlds? Reform the Soul Society so it's no longer a shitty medieval Japanese slum in which the poor souls suffer and die again because their protectors are a bunch of dicks who spend all their time running around stabbing each other in the back?

Calling it now: Aizen is a well intentioned extremist that is trying to take over the kings realm to make the Soul Society and any other powerful beings up there fight against monsters from those gates to hell we saw like 400 chapters ago because they are trying to end the world for some reason.

it will ned up to be something like that, in any case. I mostly want to see the hell gates show up again.
