Pokebrids have no weakness when we paradigm shift. Otherwise we're just normal weakness/resistances. Also I totally call Shannon. She'll be at a major disadvantage against Matthias.

In other news. I felt the need to jump on the bandwagon and make fun of Renny.

Right well here's my pokemon layout for this mission. Now time to snag me a Heatran.

Dragonite (Female)
Item: Expert Belt
Moves: Dragon Claw, Dragon Pulse, Hyper Beam, Thunder
HMs: Fly, Surf, Strength, Defog, Whirlpool, Rock Smash, Waterfall

Charizard (Male)
Item: Bright Powder
Moves: Flamethrower, Fire Blast, Dragon Claw, Dig
HMs: Cut, Fly, Strength, Defog, Rock Smash

Oh and would HM moves like Surf and Waterfall just be the pokemon spitting out water in some way or another to create an attack?

Well, if the anime and Super Smash Brother Brawl is of any worth noting, waterfall and surf would be the pokemon spitting the water and then creating waves out of it, riding it like surfboards. (Piplup in SSBB did Surf while Pokemon Trainer's Squirtle did Waterfall). Similar with Whirlpool in that it can either be a vortex formed in a large body of water (like a maelstorm) or a funnel of water spinning like a water tornado.

At least that's how I think of it. Although mind you some pokemon that can learn surf or waterfall are not water type

If a Pok�mon (or brid) could use the water HMs even though they're not water types (or have any [other] water moves), then they still get those water HMs.

How would weather-changing moves like Sunny Day and Sandstorm work in this RP? Would they affect the entire city or just the area around the battle?

... I just realized that I hadn't asked how do we deal with the opposing trainers once they are defeated.
Do they just "Blackout/Whiteout" after defeat like happens to the main characters?
Do we need to attack them and knock them out?
Do we get to take their pokeballs through some device that sends it to the SWAT team version of Bill's PC from the games?
Do we get tasers/rope bindings/hancuffs?

It would be silly to let one get a hold of a weapon or trigger the alarm or use Full Revive on their pokemon or just let them escape.

I'd imagine some of the more sadistic or practical people might interrogate them or use them as hostage of their own.
