Yeah, I don't know where I started but it was somewhere around Otakon 2001, well before strip 100, and it's been a staple of killing 30 seconds to a minute three days a week since. So thank you, Brian! My only regret is never going to meet you at any event despite having lived in Orlando for 5 years now.
Is 1224 really the end or do you have another strip or two left? I can't think of any loose ends left, but I think we'd all like to see Fighter stabbed in the brain one last time, and a "The End" where Fighter isn't a woman in bed from istockphoto.com. |

Could've been worse.
You could have spent seven years making a sprite comic. Don't do that, it makes him stronger! On another note, anyone who hasn't heard the dramatic reading of that should do so now. NOW |

8 years and about 5 months for me. And you know what? I don't feel bad for it. What I feel bad about is that it's ending. 8BT has been a reliable, stable weekly activity for most of my adult life. Knowing that every M/W/F, then later (for most of the run in fact) T/Th/Sa, I could tune in for a few moments of funny as BM does something offensive, Red Mage has a stupid plan, Fighter says something obvlious, and Thief suffers this all while robbing the world blind (and somestimes all four of those at once) help me get through some rough times. With that gone... well I don't need it anymore but it was nice to know it was there.
Ah well, all things must end eventually. At least my fears of not having other work by Clevinger still in production are no longer valid. Including a few things on this very site. So the routien of checking of NP.com for new content continues.

Thank you Brian, I've been reading since the Dwarf arc (I think the exact comic was the full page spread of the dwarf village incineration)
It was a fun ride, and I hope you had as much fun making them and toying with our minds. |

I am a fairly new reader (Only about 2 years), but 8-bit theatre has quickly become a big part of my life. I always looked forward to reading the next comic and laughed at almost every one. I am quite sad that it's over, but I too wish to thank you for the countless hours you have put into this wonderful comic.

Dear Brian,
Thank you for creating a comic which attracted that guy who failed at basic English skills and typed out really weird fanfics. P.S. I would love it if Brian just came and posted "np". Sweet, simple, and sarcastic. The trifecta.

Nearly the end of a decade of insane ramblings of four "adventurers". From what we could learn from the story it has been quite a ride, but nonetheless enjoyable. Good things have to come to an end in order for other endeavors to prosper. Though you may not see much monetary gain from doing a sprite comic, what it has done has helped you improve and do more with your life, to which should open more doors of opportunities in the future.
Congrats on what success you have already gained and let 8 bit slip into the pages of internet history as you continue to deliver things like HIKYM, Warbot and Robo. Thanks for the 9 years of entertainment so far, cheers to seeing more. |

I don't even remember when I started reading, but I know it wasn't nearly as long as some of these other people. I am so happy to have followed this, though, and all of your other projects. I hadn't really read comics before I read your freebies of Atomic Robo, but now I'm pretty sure that I've been missing out and hope to make up on lost time.
Thank you greatly and good luck with everything you ever do, ever. |

Yeah, thanks man. 8-bit theatre is what got me to start reading webcomics, and comics in general.
