Sure, I'll bite that. After Renny's sidequest, I'll make that a rule. It'll make battles easier to manage, anyways.

EDIT 1: And if that's how Impact always sees the world, I think he's due for a urinalysis. Guy's gotta be taking absinthe, shrooms, acid, and mixes it all into a special beverage that he calls the "Exotic Vacation To Parts Unknown".

Can you imagine Impact like that? He just goes fuckin' apeshit and tries to score with Miltanks because they all look like outrageously busty pink-haired females to him?

Ok... we can deal with this. It's annoying, but it's fixable. What to do.

Let's prioritise targets:

1: Artillery; Mine Launcher; Weakened cannon
2: Missile Racks, Flamethrower
3: Last cannon

Artillery because it deals huge damage, Mine Layer because it'll get really, really annoying if we don't, weakened cannon because we've already started the job.

Now, the question is, what to do, exactly? We could go with the standard method, which would be to kill one part after another. That'd raise his heat level step-by-step, as well as decreasing his ability to deal damage the same way.

Alternately, we pick a certain number of parts, try to weaken those parts as much as we can, and then land finishing blows on three or four parts in one turn. As we weaken them, they'll be less accurate, so we would be taking less damage. Also, his heat level would only rise slowly until we destroy all of them, when it'll probably spike.

He has auto-repair, of course, but thing is, we'll probably deal reparable damage anyway...

And what're the mechanical noises? Would the bastard be manufacturing a minion?

Edit:
Oh, and no, it's less the "OMG pokemon are people, must have sex with them" and more the "This is so very fucked" aspect of that picture that Impact sees.

Also, will Ho-oh force-deploy for Shizuka?

Edit2: Order of battle.
Ok... damn, I'm tired. I'll try to make this coherent. Posting while tired is like my drunk posting. Only less alcohol and more mind working in strange and unusual ways. See how unusual? Here, I'll show you.

Both testament drives: Hit Mine Layer
Impact: Full restore, attack Artillery (He has a lot of defense and HP, he'll survive a few mines. Rachel can be on standby to revive, should it become necessary)
Rachel: (Does she have any force-deployers left? I don't think so, but too tired to check)
Shizuka's Ho-Oh: I'm assuming the bastard force-deploys, so hit Artillery with a non-fire attack. I assume Ho-Oh has one.
Shizuka personal: Use Signature Technique, Apple... Cutter? The single-target high-damage one, but not applesauce. The weaker one. On Artillery.
Dormond: Retreat, make room. Support NPCs can still use one item/turn, even if they're retreated, right? I thought they could last mission... Anyway, if that's the case, maybe take care of Pierce's Nagrai.
Kiyomi's Regigigas: Giga Impact on Artillery. Go before Impact.
Kiyomi: I'm having Rachel retreat as well as Dormond, so there should be room for both her and Shizuka. Use Raging Raider, to hit (I hope) Artillery, Mine Layer and Port cannon. Would that work, AB?
Mika: Have Mewthree hit the Artillery
Rayleen: Have Rayquaza hit the Artillery
Pierce Personal: Hit Starboard Missile Rack
Pierce: Nagrai should get revived in time, I hope, have it hit Starboard Missile Rack
Charlotte Personal: Starboard Missile Rack
Charlotte: Wait for it, wait for it... Starboard missile rack

That seem good? It should weaken quite a bit of stuff, next turn we can use signature sequences and testament drives to finish them off.

...

I just really, really hope that Lexhur doesn't have a "Heal all damage" signature technique. I would hate that. So much. AB, does he have such a technique?

Interesting post... the plot thickens...

AB: Regarding Cresselia's gluttony attack, which put all the pokemons to sleep, I don't suppose that she would have been effected by Umbreon? Umbreon's ability force inflicts a status effect whenever it get hit by one. If Umbreon is burned, the opposing pokemon gets burned. Sleep? The pokemon that inflicted it is asleep. I know it's The Light herself, but I'm just asking in case it was just an oversight.

Also, Matthias/Lola seems to be completely uneffected. Intentional?

I'd imagine so, but just asking. Also doesn't answer the second question...

Meanwhile... Plotting how best to continue from here...

EDIT: AB, what weapon type did Kirie finish her turn off with? (It looked like she finished with a fighting type weapon since she killed the Dark last.) Also, can she do a weapon change and attack on the same turn?

Would it be possible for Matthias to use Thief to steal one of those items like Supreme Upgrade or Supreme Restore off of Cressilia (If she has any left) and perhaps swipe any remaining ones off of the Dark?

At least the group isn't really in any real danger, since Harriette still has all her pokemon. ^^;

Ok, overall plan...

Shaymin hits Cresselia with Testament Drive.

Last item used to revive Whitney! Paradigm Shift! Black Hole Cresselia! Heavy damage and she won't be able to summon any pokemon if they get knocked out (especially if she would be knocked out by this point, they can't go rogue until she comes back.)

Kirie uses Endless Waltz with grass typed weapon on Fathocanth. Either the super powered Quad damage or the OHKO will knock it out.
Endless Waltz: Kirie focuses all of her attention on a single opponent, something that said opponent would never wish for. More like a modification of Tsubasa's Wicked Dance using Weapon Shift, Endless Waltz has pretty much the same effects.

Dominic summons Butterfree. Butterfree uses Shadow Ball on Shedninja. ONE HIT KO! (Shedninja is fixed at 1 hitpoint and ghost type is one of the un-guarded weakpoints)

Renny's Mollesk gets Forced-Summoned!

Lola uses Heal Bell on Harriette and Entei (Matthias instead if he was put to sleep).

Moon and Evangaleen recall their pokemons, give them a breather, perhaps try to wake them up. Harriette summons Kangaskhan and Vespiquen to take their place.

Kangaskhan use Crunch on Espeon. Super Effective! 10% chance of lowering defence stat 1 stage.

Vespiquen use Attack Order on Espeon. STAB Super Effective. High Critical Hit chance!

Harriette uses Water Bullets on Claydol. Super Effective!

Entei focuses Lava Plume on Volbeat. STAB Super Effective!

And now two options...
Option 1: If AB allows for stealing items off of Cresselia...
Matthias steals Supreme Upgrade and uses it on Renny's Mollesk. Mollesk's Simple ability pumps it up to a full +6 boost to ALL STATS! (Although it's speed and special attack will still be crap crap crap crap crap.) It becomes nigh impossible to damage! (To clarify, in the video games, Groudon with high attack power and STAB earthquake only can deal 1/3 max hitpoints in damage to a Shuckle of the same level with unboosted stats, which only has a base hitpoint stat of 20. Mollesk has 118!)
Mollesk: "Rock Falls, Everybody Dies. RP over" (KIDDING) Rock Slide on Ledian and Sableye due to absurdly boosted power.

Option 2: If AB doesn't allow for that...
Matthias poke-sync attacks Arbok or Claydol with that multiple status affliction stuff. :3

Mollesk use Follow Me on Whitney to protect her for another turn. REALLY high stamina and defence should be useful here. ^^ (Alteranatively, I might use Rock Slide on Ledian and another bug pokemon due to quad damage on Ledian and Super Effective damage on another)

Kirie is now Number Two on the list of "Bitches Pierce needs to Fight", just below Shizuka. Screw that, he's gonna take 'em both on at the same time! Would the optional PVP mission include fighting NPCs? Because fuck dueling Impact, Pierce is going for the Kimonos.

Lexhur keeps swinging back and forth between my liking him and hating him. Now I know why AB won't let us ride him: that would redefine the term "carnage".

This one, let's do this.

Pierce can use a Max Revive to restore Nagarai. If your purpose is to have Regigigas soak up mines for Impact, you might wanna have Dormond heal it up instead. If not, then have it use Hyper Beam. Ho-Oh has Sky Attack, but Lexhur resists it so you're better off using something like Sacred Fire which at least deals 1x damage.

Since at this stage of the fight we're going to be taking a lot of hits from every direction, you might wanna pull someone back next turn and free up Mika so she can use her Paradigm Break. Hey AB, does Paradigm Break turn all incoming damage into healing for everyone, or just Mika?

You might wanna have Nagarai try to Overload the Fire Absorber, that should neutralize the Flamethrower (with Drizzle and Thunder, I'm hoping it'll be easy). Of course, we don't have any allies left weak to fire (since you're pulling Rachel and Dormond back) so it might not be necessary. You might want to revive Allegion turn after next to use Thunder Crush on the Dragon Absorber that I think Lexhur is manufacturing.

Hey AB, can Trainers using Trainer Attack trip mines? Because I wouldn't put it past you.

I might have Pierce trip one on purpose. I'm serious. I'm already coming up with logical reasons to justify it.

Can Support NPCs use non-healing support items like, I dunno, X-Attack? Because then I think maybe have Rachel heal Buck, and Dormond buff someone's stats.

EDIT:

So, what, Geminex just bats his eyes and you bend over? No, don't ask the rest of us what we think!

Can we at least get to use two pokemon at a time for smaller battles?

Also, keep in mind that while, yes, everyone having one pokemon at a time would make battles easier to manage, it would also make them take twice as long.
And, I dunno, it seems to me like battles take long enough now that you already need to throw in crap like Kirie going Super Saiyan and slaughtering a powerful boss just to speed things up.

Plus, double battles encourage more creativity in how one organize their teams. Personally would think that in smaller battles or when by themselves, 2 pokemon would be nice. But for big stuff, yeah, one pokemon perhaps.

Christ, what's with all the questions? Urgh...

@ Geminex: Yes, Ho-Oh will force-deploy.

If a character retreated, they can't do nuffin.

Yes, you can use Raging Raider that way.

-----

@ Menarker: The Light (as well as all Pokebrids) is immune to stuff like that in Paradigm Shift.

And that was an oversight, missing Lola and Matthias. You've got more characters than I realized.

Basically, if I say something affects everyone, just assume that it does indeed affect everyone except certain attacks that I can't allow to affect because it'd fuckin' wipe out the enemy.

-----

@ Menarker 2: Kirie can Weapon Shift on the fly in less than a second, making her able to transform her weapon into something that's always affected. She'll always start her action with a bigass sword and end it with a bigass sword. She'll Weapon Shift as necessary to affect the enemy.

No, Matthias cannot Thief items from The Light. However, when this mission is over and the DSS comes out, I'll start setting up enemies with held items (including items they cannot normally use by holding it) so Matthias can get some use out of those items.

-----

@ Dracorian: Oh yeah, you're definitely going to fight some NPCs in the arena.

Paradigm Break spreads out the healing.

Sure, go ahead and have Pierce throw that stick.

Yes, you can have the Medical Specialists use X-Attacks 'n' shit.

Yes, you can use two Pokemon when it's in smaller battles.

I dunno, I'll just set the rules as battles start.

-----

To cover for Geminex's feelings of loneliness about not being able to put anything in his second slot when battles all for two per character, I've already gone and created the Engineer Specialty. Engineers will be able to create stuff on the fly that will supplment your battles, from Shield Generators to Turrets to Evoliths. Anyone of those would be great for Impact since he doesn't like Pokemon.

And since it's going to come up eventually, I'll talk about them briefly: Evoliths are a scientific breakthrough in finding new purposes for Evolution Stones. By using their massive stores of energy in conjunction with a metal called Evolite that has a strong connection with Evolution Stones in general, one could create an autonomous golem that fights alongside its maker. Evoliths have similar powers to the Evolution Stones that power them, and they are named after said stones. Sun Stones create Sun Evoliths that have healing powers and can cast a large variety of buffs. Leaf Stones result in Leaf Evoliths that can use a variety of powerful grass type attacks. Moon Stones will give you a Moon Evolith that deals with instant death and status effects and so on and so forth.

Because Evolution Stones are pretty common in Honmyr and Evoliths are a hell of a lot easier to make than catching and training a Pokemon, Evoliths make excellent shock troops and are quite popular for those who really don't want anything to do with Pokemon, like Impact. They don't need love. They don't need food. They don't need sleep. They just need a target.

What, so he throws it once and then loses his ability to attack for the rest of the fight? I mean, sure, he can pull out his knife and try to shank Lexhur, but I think Lexhur'd win that fight. I think I'd rather have him blow himself up. Still trying to figure out why Pierce would blow himself up, though.

Besides, who gives a crap if Geminex is feeling lonely? He gets to go full demon as soon as the rest of us go half-demon. And he gets mind control, so he can have all the bitches he wants.

So yeah, not sure he really needs Evoliths.

For PVP's sake, I'm sure we can agree to have trainers use only one pokemon when they're going up against Slayers.

But I've already got my three upgrades planned out. Engineer seems interesting, but even when everyone's using two pokemon, his full-demon stats should be enough to let him keep up with the rest of the team.

Evoliths seem... fun.
They have potential.

I don't want to use Mika's healing technique, because I want our legendaries to die horribly. I want those testament drives.
That's also the reason why I'd send Regigigas in without healing it. If it takes the mine damage, it's definitely going down. And since Lexhur did kill it, that should create a testament drive.
...
Right?
