Books Recommend me a good Audiobook

Okay, so its very unlikely anyone here has the same audiobook habit that I have, but I guess it doesn't hurt to ask.

Anyway, I got into audiobooks thanks to my mom's Harry Potter books. Jim Dale (the guy who narrates said books), did such an excellent job (he does all the voices, wee!) that I couldn't help but enjoy the stories.

Aside from Harry Potter, I've discovered James Marsters reading of the Dresden books. Each of which, James does an excellent job with (again, all the voices). Plus, he does a great job at reading Harry's occasional jokes & remarks.

I did get the Percy Jackson books, but I can't say they were exactly the greatest listen I've had. The narrator's voice, isn't exactly the easiest thing to listen too.

Beyond these titles, all I've listened to is Red Dwarf: Infinity Welcomes Careful Drivers (well read by Chris Barrie, but since the book is mostly a mash up of the TV series, I don't enjoy it as much as I should) & And Another Thing... Book 6 of 3, of the Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy.

No, it wasn't written by good old DA. This book, was written by Eoin Colfer, author of the Artemis Fowl series (which I don't know much about).

The audiobook itself is well read by Simon Jones, and is done very well.

I plan to do a review soonish, but I'm waiting on the paper copy before I say anything specific. However, in short I considered it a enjoyable, if flawed book.

I don't expect much help with this, as I doubt many have the same audiobook habit that I have. But again, it doesn't hurt to ask.

I don't know about anyone else's opinion, but John Hodgman has probably the best audiobooks ever. He reads them himself (Along with his wild mountain man friend, Jonathan Coulton) and changes a lot of things up from the print. You should really check out Area's of My Expertise and More Information Than You Require.

Speaking of Douglas Adams, there are full unabridged recordings of him reading all five of his Hitchhiker's novels. The first one especially is sublime.

Books Heyo, I once drove. Alot.

... also, I recieved hand-me downs. Here's a few I really enjoyed.

Odd Thomas - I've only listend to Odd Times (I think that's the title?)

Hank the Cow Dog - all of them (good luck finding it)

The Good Guy - an excellent listen

Finally, one that was highly recommended as an audio, though I ended up reading the book, was The Husband.

Anyhoo, hope that helps.
