What makes you think that Yammy is still alive by the end of the chapter?
I can't think of a better "He's dead" montage than the guy seeing his dog, going all "why'd you show up here?" and then closing his eyes. My guess: He was almost dead, and bled out by the end of this chapter.

Guys! I think we have it all wrong! The next big enemy is actually the evil inside Ichigo!
Seriously though, that was a pretty lame chapter then even the other ones. Stupid explanation to make Aizen seem less evil. Yeah I figure Yammy is dead, though with Kubo you never really know.

I don't think I'm telling anyone anything new here, but Bleach could be so much better if it were written by someone who doesn't think 100 chapters of ass-pullery are a good idea. I mean, Kubo has good ideas, he just can't seem to execute them very well.
