New society seems to be the majority, so it seems that is the direction! CRAB PEOPLE IT IS! not really

I have some few, vague concepts. I'd like to take suggestions as well though.

On thing on my mind is the Carapaces. Its said that when they are exiled, they rebuild society on the planet. What after that? Would Sburb eventually make its way back into their society?

Thats just one idea. I'm forming others still, as that wouldn't be entirely new. Like I said though, suggestions.

Edit: I'm going to go ahead and remove the cap mentioned on first page. We can have a split up into teams, with a reacharound or something later.

Edit2: Well actually, 6 people voted for other things, so it isn't necessarily a majority. Still, taking suggestions.

Question: Would we want an entirely self contained session or do we want to include a Hivebent-alike as well?

Relatedly, should the Hivebent session be played or stay mainly off screen?

Personally, I think there's a certain appeal in keeping them initially mysterious but don't know how well that'd actually work in an RP.

We'd just be playing one species. Humans, trolls, or whatever other species we can come up with. Personally, I'd rather it be humans/trolls, but I can adapt.

They'd probably just be kept off-screen.

Is this Sburb/Sgrub gonna be identical to the official version in concept of mechanics, or are we gonna have a "modified source code" session (I've seen some LP's on other forums that do that concept)? I think it's simpler if we go with unmodified as I'm probably gonna go mad with all of the possibilities of source edits (quadruple prototyping, rigging the makes-weird-shit machine to modify existing objects so I could imbue myself with some awesome shit like the Alex Mercer virus or the chaos emeralds, and a heavily imbalanced stock exchange on each home plane).

No idea what your talking about, so its just gonna be Sburb. I may fudge very small canon details here or there when it is convinient.

Hmm...

I think that Alternia has a lot to give, still. We know a little about it,the basics. But there's so much to explore, discover, invent for ourselves. I think it would serve us well. Better than something completely homebrewed, because here at least we have a structure, a few basics that work and are fun. That'd certainly be helpful.

If we homebrew a world/society, we'd have to define a lot of stuff ourselves, and the creation process itself could turn out ot be problematic. Though we could almost definitely make it work, I'm not sure to what degree it'd be worth it.

Though I do like this idea:

We can base that society on the troll society we know from Hivebent, but any freedoms we want to take would be more than justified. We'd come up with our own trolls, maybe redesign Sgrub a little. I think this makes a good compromise between a hivebent-esque and a homebrewed society. Let's do this.

I basically agree with this. I think it would be simpler to just take on Humans or Trolls, with a little bit of exile sprinkled on top.

Almost like there are too many options up there. I'd kinda prefer just 1) Homestuck, 2) Hivebent 3) Original.

edit: Yeah I think I'm going to throw Democracy out the window (your effort was appreciated POS) and probably pull up a sign-up for either Homestuck or Hivebent tomorrow.

Any final input?

Actually, if you're doing anything from MSPA you should be stupid.

But that goes without saying.

Anyway, I'm interested.
