But Desperado Chaos actually looks pretty sweet. His EX Burst is the stuff of nightmares, right at the end there.

It's even creepier when you consider that it'll be taking up your whole screen when you actually play the thing, which means you get a facefull of D. Chaos in static roaring straight at you from behind the screen before it blips off akin to an old CRT TV, at least to those who still remember old CRT TVs. The only thing that ruins it is that it blips straight to normal end-of-battle stuff instead of, I dunno, putting the system into standby so you actually have to turn it back on again. It might get annoying, but I'm sure a lot of people would be heavily impacted by it, because that shit means there's a demon in your hands, you know? The extra weight would do a lot when you lost to the guy. It could be skipped for when you're playing him, though.

Edit: Or at the very least, hold it out at blackout for a few more torturous seconds.

Dissidia Prologus is finally hitting the PSN on the 15th.

Good to see they're getting that in just under the wire.

Doublepost because of updates.

I'm playing Prologus on arcade mode right now. Combat is much faster, lots of interesting little tricks and changes that I'm enjoying. Just discovered Golbez's new Sector Ray HP attack is an amazing pain in the ass to deal with. The new and improved Forsaken Null is a dream. Kefka's still out in the open, but he's able to float around very quickly while channeling it and it moves MUCH faster now. I don't feel so vulnerable during and after every attack now.

Especially since it did last night. OW.

Was playing as Lightning. I used the Commando style a hell of a lot more than Ravager, mostly because Ravager mode's attack are only slightly longer in range(Well, not the Water spell, but that's more of a trap thingy anyways). Medic mode seems like an afterthought, although you probably get more than Cure in the full game(hopefully).

So is prologus worth it? I was thinking about it and I don't know if I sould get it with the release being so close. I mean a aeries assist doesn't seem like something I would be into...

Aerith assist is actually pretty amazing from what we know about it. They gave her attacks a bunch of unique properties like granting you temporary invulerability and paralyzing the opponent for a brief stint.

Basically, worth the $3 alone.

Ravager style is much more Kefka-ish. Each attack has a "weird" aspect to it, so you won't want to use it in EVERY situation, but it's nice to have options outside of Commando.

And Medic mode is actually kind of cool, in my opinion. Cure goes off fast enough that you can basically sprinkle it all over the place for that added damage boost, and when you get Curasa (think Cure but 5x better, except if you miss the small timing window then the chain ends) then you can seriously build some brave that way.

How fucking stupid Jecht looks. dear good His old skin best be a unlock. (also they took out one of his Jecht combos (the Ultimate jecht shot setup))
otherwise the game is MUCH faster Much more demanding in attention and strategy but not a spam fest...Fantastic!

AMN SEPH is good when he isnt posing. I went though hard arcade mode in ten minutes!

Just as a note, but Desperado Chaos has been renamed to Feral Chaos, apparently. This is going to have a lasting impact on wiki lingo for ages.
