Well, that was an interesting episode.
I managed to guess the twist a little bit before it happened. And it was nice to see the Yackety Sax thing make a reappearance.

I can only assume the punishments discussed in this episode are a reference to people supposing(Or joking, derp) that Princess Celestia rules with an iron hoof.

When Philomina burned to ash or when Celestia talked to the pile of ashes?
For some reason, I didn't catch on to Philomina's physical similarity to Fawkes until the Benny Hill chase scene. I find it funny how the characters keep thinking Celestia will banish them to the Everfree Forest if they transgress badly enough. Like, has she ever actually done that? Speaking of her, I thought a great moment was when she tricked Mr. and Mrs. Cake into overfilling her teacup. I have a distinct feeling that she was thinking "It's a party. Lighten up, everyone." the whole time. I wonder if the feather Philomina gave Fluttershy will be seen again.

I ended up having the plot twist spoiled for me, sadly. Didn't stop me from enjoying the episode, though. Always love Fluttershy episodes.

I knew SOMETHING was up with the bird after like 45 seconds of fluttershy trying to care for it. I figured it was just a species of bird that naturally looked sickly or whatever. With all my gaming background I really should have seen it coming.
