You know, this is the only CMC ep that I've been able to watch twice, probably the only one I ever will be able to watch more than once.
And this ep is perfect for a time travel story next season; someone, possibly a new villain, travels back in time and prevents the Sonic Rainboom, thus causing an alternate timeline where nopony got their cutie marks, Twilight was never made Celestias pupil (Trixie was instead, and Spike became her aide), Pinkie becomes a full blown rock farmer, Applejack ends up living a depressed pretend existence with all the snobs in Manehatton, Fluttershy never learns to fly and remains so scared of everything she never leaves the clouds and Rarity has an existencial crisis, possibly involving rock farming alongside Pinkie. Dash, I dunno how different she'd be really, aside from having no ambitions forever. Probably because she never realises her need for speed and winning she ends up in a dead-end job in the Rainbow factory, which is really boring work. And of course, because they all never got their marks they also never met and there's nopony around to stop Nightmare Moon, who now rules the world. It would be excellent.
