My Rise and Fall: How I succumbed to MAGICAL FRIENDSHIP

Something has happened. Something that I never believed would happen. After adamantly refusing to watch any of this pony nonsense and managing to stay true to that for so long, I have been betrayed... by myself. In a moment of weakness and boredom part of me thought "Maybe I should give the ponies a shot. I ignored Homestuck for a bit when the forum was apeshit for that, but that turned out to be pretty awesome."

So I watched the pilot episodes.

And then I remembered someone saying the pilot wasn't as good as the rest of the show, so I watched two more episodes.

Now here I am seven episodes in and still wanting to watch more. And I don't know why!!!

Well, okay, I do know why. It's the best kids cartoon show I've seen in a long long time. I've long since given up hope on the kids cartoon industry, but MLP is a spark in the dark. That's the best way I can describe it right now.

So yeah, with all that out of the way just two things that need to be said (well, probably repeated at this point since I'm sure all of you have heard/said this before).

1) Pinkie Pie is hilarious
2) Fluttershy is adorable and is the best pony.

It's ok Arcanum, we all know what you're going through, we know it can be difficult at first, but in time, all doubt/surprise at enjoying MLP will vanish. Then there will be only ponies.

To your points though;

1) Yes. Yes she is.

2) No, no she is not. Rainbow Dash is clearly the best.

But Rainbow Dash is really cool, it's just hard to remember that she's female through the sheer amount of tomboyishness and that voice that I could swear might have been used for Pajama Sam.

The persistent NonCon bashing is starting to get really annoying, like seriously the next time I see someone pull that shit I'm going to fly off the handle annoying, and it's been happening in way too many threads that have no correlation whatsoever with NonCon.

Dude can't even defend himself cuz he's been temp-banned, right? That's just low. NPF is better than this.

EDIT: Back on the subject of ponies, the finale was awesome, Pinkie Pie is still the best pony but Rainbow Dash and Fluttershy are both up there on my list, and Rarity's actually managed to grow on me. I'd say Applejack is now my "least favorite" main pony (I should prepare for Osterbaum to be pissed), but she is still very awesome. Just somewhat...predictable? Boring at times?

Spike has actually become my second favorite character after Pinkie Pie, though, his moments in the episode with him and the owl were incredible.

So she's probably due for another early next season then right? Yeah, I don't much care for AJ either, none of the episodes where she's been the main focus have really done much to interest me, except for Fall Weather Friends but that had copious amounts of Dash too, so, yeah.

She does have the odd funny moment, but nothing really stands out.
