And as this chapter implies, removes himself from people's past.

And the memories it creates as a result are complicated enough to include "Tsukishima as Ichigo's cousin" and "Tsukishima was there for the Aizen saga". He probably could've inserted himself into Ginjou's past as "co-conspiritor".
That wouldn't explain Ishida, though. OK, so Ginjou is an evil dude whose only redeeming factor is his good taste in ramen. |

New theory.
Tsukishima is actually a good guy, being black mailed or controlled into helping Ginjou. Possibly through capture of loved one. Also, if Ginjou is evil, I am willing to bet that at least a few of the Fullbringers are in on it as well. All the B-listers have to have fights as well.

Honestly I had a feeling he was the evil one all along. Not just because he looks like azien but because A we never heard what his Fullbring can do. Hiding your power is just the thing a major villain would do in a show like this.

Wait, here's another way Ichigo might be able to resolve this: if he absorbs Tsukishima's fullbring at the end of the battle, and uses it to bring his friends back to normal.
Provided, of course, that he'll be able to reverse Tsukishima's insertions when he's using the power. |

Ok here is one possibility:
The Fullbringers(sp?) found Ginjou and did exactly what they said they were trying to do. That is they were using him to get rid of their Fullbring powers. The find out a little to late the Ginjou his a homicidal maniac and Tsukishima uses his power to edit the past. Basically Tsukishima takes on Ginjou's bad actions and leaves Ginjou thinking he's just a normal Fullbring user cutting his attack power and some of the danger. Meanwhile Tsukishima has in someway managed to arrange it so Ginjou and the others will look for a new person to take their powers. (Perhaps he edited their pasts and perhaps he didn't.) The purpose being to take away the Fullbring of Ginjou and thereby rectify that mistake. To that end Ichigo was chosen. Now the reason Tsukishima turned Ichigo's friends was as a final test. Clearly Ginjou had no problem fighting and attempting to injure is old "friends" proving him to be evil. Ichigo on the other hand can't bring himself to do it even in his fit of rage proving that he is good and that Tsukishima can trust him with the Fullbring powers. It also serves the dual purpose that stabbing Ichigo is the only way to gain his trust so that he can use Ichigo to eliminate Ginjou's Fullbring powers. Somehow in all of this Ginjou got wise and let himself get cut again or some such thing. That brings us to where we are now. The whole Ginjou attacking Ishida was simply a means by Ginjou to get Ichigo into the group and once again proves he's an evil bastard. Tsukishima cut Ishida at the end in order to prevent him from ruining the plan. It makes sense but there are probably some things wrong here or there. It make for a nicely contained plot though and sets up the Fullbringers to be allies later. |

So I guess Ginjo's fullbring lets him steal other people's fullbrings?

No that is his Shinigami powers that let him do that. Which is the entire reason they gave for going after Ichigo in the first place, i.e. any substitute shinigami with a fullbring can take other fullbrings apparently, and also why he had to combine his badge with his fullbring to do it.
Apparently they figured out a way to undo the final Getsuga Tensho more rapidly than it happened for his father. Also, it does appear to have unlocked new powers. Also, anyone else notice he doesn't seem to have left his physical body and yet has full command of his Soul Reaper powers? Or maybe he did and we just can't see his crumpled heap of a body through the dust. Oh and the outfit changed as well. I'm assuming this is probably a combination of having used the final Getsuga, mastered is fullbring, and reawakened his shinigami powers. The real question is can he still use his mask at the level he used to use it at? |
