Tsubasa then raised her hands as to fend off an attack. "Actually, those last two parts were lies. Please, don't cry. Do you need me to hold you some more?"

"Actually, I already bought one," Chizuru said. "Well, I kinda sorta bought one. It's...complicated. But Rio said I looked so hot in it when I tried it on, so I guess it'd be just perfect for the photoshoot, right?"

Chizuru said nothing when Pierce's first card came up maxed out. She continued to remain quiet when Pierce picked out a necklace for Rachel. She even kept a disturbing silence when she battled and defeated Pierce in Dance Dance Revolution.

Silence during the autograph.

Even silence when the date ended. Chizuru simply bowed to him, then vanished in a flash. There one instant, empty space the very next one.

Takano left and Shizuka placed a warm, gentle hand on Jeremy's shoulder. "Congratulations, young lad, you've peeked the woman's interest. She doesn't usually bother with going as far as to show off. It's a step in the right direction if you can believe it."

Sophia and Tsubasa

Sophia raised her hands to her mouth to stifle her panicked "Eep!" as Tsubasa described all the things she had done.

Except not. All she'd done is sing. Which didn't alleviate her shame at all. She sat back down on the bed, thinking how she could face everyone without just dropping dead of sheer embarrassment. "I think I need to calm down." She said simply, as her heart threatened to beat out of her chest in a panic.

Pierce and Chizuru

When Pierce dissappeared after being silent for a long time, Pierce blinked. Had he done something...? He couldn't think of anything he said or did that could've upset Chizuru. Dammit, if he managed to screw up his relationship with her...

His heart had been beating faster before, just from being with Chizuru. But now, it felt like someone had reached their hand into his chest and was crushing his heart in their palm. Chizuru was... really great. She had helped him a lot, and Pierce didn't want to think he'd just ruined what he had with her.

Depressed, he just went back home.

Jeremy shivered internally, but he helkd his poker face strongly.

"Apples?" Shizuka asked her.

"Apples," Takano confirmed. Shizuka softly rested a hand on Jeremy's shoulder as Takano departed.

"Congratulations, young lad, you've peeked the woman's interest. She doesn't usually bother with going as far as to show off. It's a step in the right direction if you can believe it." She called him young! Jeremy liked this girl.

"Well thanks ma'am," he said, "hopefully I can handle whatever she throws at me. If her claims are true, then she's at least got accuracy. Uhh, where's she going by the way?" Jeremy's poker face seemed to fade a bit as his eyes wandered the room cautiously.

Tsubasa sighed. This woman was a little too sensitive. "Relax, Sophia, you'll be alright. I doubt that three people would even remember what you did through the haze of the alcohol, and they'll probably end with distorted stories that don't make any sense at all. I'm sure you'll be just fine. I'll help if you're really concerned about it."

Shizuka lead Jeremy outside where Takano had drawn her bow and five arrows. "Just keep this apple on your head and don't move an inch," Shizuka instructed Jeremy. "Think of it as a test of manhood. Don't worry, you're safe as long as you don't budge one little bit."

Once Jeremy was standing in front of a wide concrete pole with an apple on his head, Takano strung all five arrows at once. "Release when ready, Mizuno-sama."
"Remember, Jeremy. Don't budge one little bit!" Shizuka said, then reached into her mini-yukata and lazily tossed four apples in the air.

Takano released her volley.

Jeremy's head was now surrounded by apples impaled by arrows. One above his head. One each right next to his ears. One each at both sides of the base of his neck.

"And the difference is finesse," Takano said, seemingly unimpressed by her own display. "Anyone can beat down some poor homeless guy with a length of steel pipe. But you send a much stronger message this way."

Just what was she trying to prove with this?

Sophia let took in a long, deep breath and let it out. "Y-yeah, you're right. I'll be fine." Well, she knew she'd be blushing profusely for a time whenever she went near... well, anyone. But Tsubasa's arguments managed to defuse her panic. "Uhm... I'm sorry, Tsubasa-san. I wish I weren't so insecure." She said, as she bowed apologetically. "I-if you don't want to go out with me anymore... I understand."

Jeremy wanted to at least ask if he could flip a coin before the arrows came, but the words never came out. With a swoosh, the apples were gone, and Jeremy barely even realized it.

She was certainly a step above Charlotte.

"And the difference is finesse," the lady stated in a bored tone. "Anyone can beat down some poor homeless guy with a length of steel pipe. But you send a much stronger message this way."

"I gotta say, it does set you apart," he swaid, looking at the speared apples all lying around. He was sort of stunned but he wouldn't admit that fact. This was a broad who knew what she was doing. There was no hesitation or doubt even though it could have been disastrous. Jeremy liked that, no doubt in his mind. However, he almost felt challenged, an innate desire was in him to see this through. She clearly wasn't an ordinary killer, so he's make it clear he wasn't an ordinary gambler.

"Finesse is a wonderful thing to have," he said softly taking some steps closer, "but sometimes luck can be what makes the difference. And in my opinion I got a lot of it, even if it works in odd ways. So..." with slow and purposeful movements, he reached into his vest and removed a revolver, "how about we see if we both got luck on our side? What do you day? Six chambers, and 1 bullet. I can even go first!" Russian Roulette? That's classy Jeremy.

Charlotte and Liz

"But you know, we didn't really get to know each other very well, which is a shame. But I guess that's what this sort of situation is for, huh?"

"I guesss it is," she said, her voice starting to drawl out a bit. "I haven't really been to many parties. Not much reason i don't think. Don't reallly get along with many people, but I guess you seem okay though." She put a hand on Liz's shoulder and took a drink, but it didn't seem anything more than a friendly gesture. More than what most would expect though.

Liz would seriously have to push it if she wanted to have sex by the night's end. Charlotte Beaufort is really boring at parties.

Tsubasa realized that she might've been hurting Sophia by mentioning her abnormality, so she enfolded Sophia's body in a warm embrace. "Sorry. It's just that you looked pretty lonely out there. I figured you could use a friend. Turns out in this case you ended up needing something more, but I don't mind at all. Kinda interesting having a friend like you, to be honest."

Takano put her bow away. "The fourth pull of the trigger will fire the bullet," she said.

How the hell could she have seen the chambers from there?

Sophia let out a choked gasp at Tsubasa's words, and her eyes teared up. Here was a beautiful woman, accepting her for who she was, and...

She held Tsubasa as tightly as she could when they embraced, her hands digging into her back almost to the point of drawing blood, as she wept into the warm shoulder. "Th-thank you... Tsubasa-san."

Liz smiled. "That's a shame, that you don't go to enough parties. We should make sure you enjoy this one as much as possible." She said understandingly. "How about a drinking game? Like, umm... Oh!
