A New Year of Anime Begins: Winter Anime 2012 thread
Because it's not Fall anymore.
Old Business: Chihaya Furu has, inexplicably, lasted into its second cour without becoming stupid or sappy. It's still about slapping cards, I'm still the only one watching it, and I'm still judging you all for watching Bleach instead. Guilty Crown is still stupid and I can't wait for tomorrow's episode. Way to end the last season on an awesome action sequence followed by an out-of-nowhere cliffhanger. Like, you'd think killing everyone would be enough, but you'd be wrong. Last Exile: Fam of the Silver Wing also started back up again with a flashback. Bad things happen. The last season ended with a huge case of the first season's "Where did all these mooks come from?" syndrome, but other than that this show is in many ways better than the previous show, if not as unique in its mood. We don't talk about Persona 4. New Business: Bodacious Space Pirates has, like, animation and backgrounds and directing and stuff. Also, it has gangster cyborg muscle men drinking tea in a maid cafe. But what did it for me was using the Captain Harlock theme song as a password. Watch it. It's gonna be good, I can feel it. Oh, and Chiaki Omigawa (Maka from Soul Eater) plays our captain's very good friend, so there's that, too. A Randsell is a backpack. A recorder is a children's instrument. Recorder to Randoseru is a show about a fifth-grade boy who will grow to despise the police. It's only three minutes long, so it's even shorter than Nyanpire (which you all should have watched). Kill Me Baby is based on a four panel comic that was pretty fun to read. It is a perfect adaptation of the source material, which kinda makes it a crummy cartoon. I'm not gonna judge you if you don't like this. It's about a high-school assassin and her stupid friend being stupid. It might get better as it goes on, I dunno. Everyday Lives of Highschool Boys is a comedy based on a webcomic I think? I'll get back to you tonight when I've watched it and I'm all Kraken'd up. Papa no Iukoto Kikinasai is awful, awful garbage that I am going to watch and I am going to enjoy. Edit: Apparently I will be watching this tonight, too. I'll be sure to tell you all about it. Sequel Business: Milky Holmes Act 2: It's more Milky Holmes, but there is no but it's more Milky Holmes and it's approach to a second season seems to be "Just start running really fast before you hit the ground; it'll work." You want stupid girls doing stupid things and assorted nonsense and references? You want Milky Holmes. Nisemonogatari is the sequel to Bakemonogatari and seems to be more of the same, which is good if you liked Bakemonogatari. The best description I've seen of the first episode is "You know what it's like when you're talking about something, then you go on a tangent and forget what you were talking about? It's like that." No One Cares nor Should They Business: I am so hyped for Smile Precure you don't even know. Everything else is automatically awful because I'm not watching it. Discuss. Oh, and a chart for Bells.

DxD could be acceptably mediocre.
Symphogear looks vaguely Scryedish so that could be good-esque.

I can't even begin to count the ways you should not fucking watch Zero No Tsukaima.
Also, hell yeah Carnival Phantasm!

So, Highschool Boys. It got better as it went on. Like, deliberately so, I think. Then there's that last skit and I'm like, holy shit, that was sorta a creative joke which I don't think often about anime. You should watch this.
Papakiki was exactly what I expected except with more upperclassman girl. You shouldn't watch this. I'm going to, though. Oh, yeah, and Carnival Phantasm. Now that my computer can play cartoons without bothering Mike, I'm totally gonna watch that. I do love me some Type Moon crap. Wait, no, I like stuff that makes fun of Type Moon crap.

mouretsu pirates, Senhime Zesshou Symphogear, and Sacrad Nights look pretty... neat. I might check them out... maybe...
Zero no Tsukaima is ending now? Well I guess now's a good time to start watching it. It seemed like a nice comedy but the harsh jokes and the whipping (surprisingly) and the loliness turned me off (even though Lusiuse(sp?) is like 17-18 in the show). I'm happy infinte Stratos is getting an OVA. It's not season 2 but it's something. Right now it's the closing thing I'm going to find to an Anime version of MMO game "Cosmic Break" (love that game so much X3).

The number would probably be pretty close to the number of times Zero and guy whose name IDGAF about have actually officially in-story gotten together and then with like no explanation gone back immediately to not being together and bein' all LOLCOCKPUNCHESLOL

That show with space Pirates? It does look pretty neat. I'll give it shot when the subs are out.
Or if hit gets dubbed, what ever happens first.

I understand what you are saying Phil.
By the way, anyone know about that new season for Eureka Seven. Starring the kid who's totally not Eureka and Renton's son. /sarcasm
