Ahh I come back to see some awesome Maya work. This pleases me. Very nice job Shyria. Are you going to be rigging this?

Also, I've been gone for awhile so, uh, backlog of art of varying quality!

CJ, I'm definitely planning on playing with rigging and blend shapes on this further down the road. Little slow since I had to go back and redo some geometry I was unhappy with.

New tablet. Getting used to it. In the meantime I suddenly know how to draw nothing at all.

Edit: Slightly less stupid stuff. Getting a better feel for it and discovering GIMP does in fact have good tablet functionality.

Another day or so's worth of sketches. Aside from the dragon head, mostly a lot of bone and life studies for refining my unicorn design, including a quick doodle of sexual dimorphism in head details at the bottom. Next is to get the body types straightened out.

EDIT:

Quick size chart between the male unicorn, Shyria (female dragon) and a person (6' or so man). For reference, male unicorns are on average bigger than the females, while for dragons the reverse is true. I'll get a few more sketches done of a male of Shyria's particular variety of dragon done to illustrate the differences a bit better.

Watched the latest episode of Legend of Korra, wanted to draw something funny about it, with Amon in it, and figured I ought to actually figure out how to draw Amon, which lead to this. Had fun with the slight almost sort of digital painting that I did with it.

Even after I learned, grew up, and came to be on the right side of a lot of important issues, I was still angry, abrasive, and generally increased the amount of hate in the world, in pretty unacceptable ways. On the off chance that someone is taking a trip down memory lane looking through those old threads, I wanted to devote my signature to say directly to you, I'm sorry.
